And when king^H4428 David^H1732 came^H935 to Bahurim,^H980 behold, there came out^H3318 thence a man^H376 of the family^H4940 of the house^H1004 of Saul,^H7586 whose name^H8034 was Shimei,^H8096 the son^H1121 of Gera;^H1617 he came out,^H3318 and cursed^H7043 still as he came.^H3318

But now they that are younger^H6810 than I have me in derision,^H7832 Whose fathers^H1 I disdained^H3988 to set^H7896 with the dogs^H3611 of my flock.^H6629

Ah^H1945 sinful^H2398 nation,^H1471 a people^H5971 laden^H3515 with iniquity,^H5771 a seed^H2233 of evil-doers,^H7489 children^H1121 that deal corruptly!^H7843 they have forsaken^H5800 Jehovah,^H3068 they have despised^H5006 the Holy One^H6918 of Israel,^H3478 they are estranged^H2114 [and gone] backward.^H268

Through the wrath^H5678 of Jehovah^H3068 of hosts^H6635 is the land^H776 burnt^H6272 up; and the people^H5971 are as the fuel^H3980 of fire:^H784 no man^H376 spareth^H2550 his brother.^H251

And I will stir^H5526 up the Egyptians^H4714 against the Egyptians:^H4714 and they shall fight^H3898 every one^H376 against his brother,^H251 and every one^H376 against his neighbor;^H7453 city^H5892 against city,^H5892 [and] kingdom^H4467 against kingdom.^H4467

But thine eyes^H5869 and thy heart^H3820 are not but for thy covetousness,^H1215 and for shedding^H8210 innocent^H5355 blood,^H1818 and for oppression,^H6233 and for violence,^H4835 to do^H6213 it.

In thee have they taken^H3947 bribes^H7810 to shed^H8210 blood;^H1818 thou hast taken^H3947 interest^H5392 and increase,^H8636 and thou hast greedily gained^H1214 of thy neighbors^H7453 by oppression,^H6233 and hast forgotten^H7911 me, saith^H5002 the Lord^H136 Jehovah.^H3069

And I said,^H559 Hear,^H8085 I pray you, ye heads^H7218 of Jacob,^H3290 and rulers^H7101 of the house^H1004 of Israel:^H3478 is it not for you to know^H3045 justice?^H4941

The godly^H2623 man is perished^H6 out of the earth,^H776 and there is none upright^H3477 among men:^H120 they all lie in wait^H693 for blood;^H1818 they hunt^H6679 every man^H376 his brother^H251 with a net.^H2764

For the son^H1121 dishonoreth^H5034 the father,^H1 the daughter^H1323 riseth up^H6965 against her mother,^H517 the daughter-in-law^H2545 against her mother-in-law;^H3618 a man's^H376 enemies^H341 are the men^H582 of his own house.^H1004

For I will no more pity^H2550 the inhabitants^H3427 of the land,^H776 saith^H5002 Jehovah;^H3068 but, lo, I will deliver^H4672 the men^H120 every one^H376 into his neighbor's^H7453 hand,^H3027 and into the hand^H3027 of his king;^H4428 and they shall smite^H3807 the land,^H776 and out of their hand^H3027 I will not deliver^H5337 them.

Then^G5119 did they spit^G1716 in^G1519 his^G846 face^G4383 and^G2532 buffet^G2852 him:^G846 and^G1161 some^G3588 smote him with the palms of their hands,^G4474

And^G2532 some^G5100 began^G756 to spit^G1716 on him,^G846 and^G2532 to cover^G4028 his^G846 face,^G4383 and^G2532 to buffet^G2852 him,^G846 and^G2532 to say^G3004 unto him,^G846 Prophesy:^G4395 and^G2532 the officers^G5257 received him^G846 with blows^G906 of their hands.^G4475

But^G1161 ye^G5210 have dishonored^G818 the poor^G4434 man. Do^G2616 not^G3756 the rich^G4145 oppress^G2616 you,^G5216 and^G2532 themselves^G846 drag^G1670 you^G5209 before^G1519 the judgment-seats?^G2922
