Thou didst cause sentence^H1779 to be heard^H8085 from heaven;^H8064 The earth^H776 feared,^H3372 and was still,^H8252

Confidence^H4009 in an unfaithful man^H898 in time^H3117 of trouble^H6869 Is [like] a broken^H7465 tooth,^H8127 and a foot^H7272 out of joint.^H4154

and say^H559 unto him, Take heed,^H8104 and be quiet;^H8252 fear^H3372 not, neither let thy heart be faint,^H7401 because of these two^H8147 tails^H2180 of smoking^H6226 firebrands,^H181 for the fierce^H2750 anger^H639 of Rezin^H7526 and Syria,^H758 and of the son^H1121 of Remaliah.^H7425

For thus said^H559 the Lord^H136 Jehovah,^H3069 the Holy One^H6918 of Israel,^H3478 In returning^H7729 and rest^H5183 shall ye be saved;^H3467 in quietness^H8252 and in confidence^H985 shall be your strength.^H1369 And ye would^H14 not:

Yet he also is wise,^H2450 and will bring^H935 evil,^H7451 and will not call back^H5493 his words,^H1697 but will arise^H6965 against the house^H1004 of the evil-doers,^H7489 and against the help^H5833 of them that work^H6466 iniquity.^H205

Awake,^H5782 awake,^H5782 put on^H3847 strength,^H5797 O arm^H2220 of Jehovah;^H3068 awake,^H5782 as in the days^H3117 of old,^H5769 the generations^H1755 of ancient^H6924 times. Is it not thou that didst cut^H2672 Rahab^H7294 in pieces, that didst pierce^H2490 the monster?^H8577

It is good^H2896 that a man should hope^H3175 and quietly wait^H1748 for the salvation^H8668 of Jehovah.^H3068
