[ and that] the whole land^H776 thereof is brimstone,^H1614 and salt,^H4417 [and] a burning,^H8316 [that] it is not sown,^H2232 nor beareth,^H6779 nor any grass^H6212 groweth^H5927 therein, like the overthrow^H4114 of Sodom^H5467 and Gomorrah,^H6017 Admah^H126 and Zeboiim,^H6636 which Jehovah^H3068 overthrew^H2015 in his anger,^H639 and in his wrath:^H2534

And though this house^H1004 is so high,^H5945 yet shall every one that passeth^H5674 by it be astonished,^H8074 and shall hiss;^H8319 and they shall say,^H559 Why hath Jehovah^H3068 done^H6213 thus unto this land,^H776 and to this house?^H1004

and I will lay^H7896 it waste;^H1326 it shall not be pruned^H2168 nor hoed;^H5737 but there shall come up^H5927 briers^H8068 and thorns:^H7898 I will also command^H6680 the clouds^H5645 that they rain^H4305 no rain^H4306 upon it.

Then said^H559 I, Lord,^H136 how long? And he answered,^H559 Until cities^H5892 be waste^H7582 without inhabitant,^H3427 and houses^H1004 without man,^H120 and the land^H127 become utterly^H8077 waste,^H7582

Upon the land^H127 of my people^H5971 shall come up^H5927 thorns^H6975 and briers;^H8068 yea, upon all the houses^H1004 of joy^H4885 in the joyous^H5947 city.^H7151

And I will make^H5414 Jerusalem^H3389 heaps,^H1530 a dwelling-place^H4583 of jackals;^H8577 and I will make^H5414 the cities^H5892 of Judah^H3063 a desolation,^H8077 without inhabitant.^H3427

And I will make^H7760 this city^H5892 an astonishment,^H8047 and a hissing;^H8322 every one that passeth^H5674 thereby shall be astonished^H8074 and hiss^H8319 because of all the plagues^H4347 thereof.

[ to wit], Jerusalem,^H3389 and the cities^H5892 of Judah,^H3063 and the kings^H4428 thereof, and the princes^H8269 thereof, to make^H5414 them a desolation,^H2723 an astonishment,^H8047 a hissing,^H8322 and a curse,^H7045 as it is this day;^H3117

Thus saith^H559 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts,^H6635 the God^H430 of Israel:^H3478 Ye have seen^H7200 all the evil^H7451 that I have brought^H935 upon Jerusalem,^H3389 and upon all the cities^H5892 of Judah;^H3063 and, behold, this day^H3117 they are a desolation,^H2723 and no man dwelleth^H3427 therein,

The kings^H4428 of the earth^H776 believed^H539 not, neither all the inhabitants^H3427 of the world,^H8398 That the adversary^H6862 and the enemy^H341 would enter^H935 into the gates^H8179 of Jerusalem.^H3389

So it shall be a reproach^H2781 and a taunt,^H1422 an instruction^H4148 and an astonishment,^H4923 unto the nations^H1471 that are round about^H5439 thee, when I shall execute^H6213 judgments^H8201 on thee in anger^H639 and in wrath,^H2534 and in wrathful^H2534 rebukes;^H8433 (I, Jehovah,^H3068 have spoken^H1696 it;)

in the first^H259 year^H8141 of his reign^H4427 I, Daniel,^H1840 understood^H995 by the books^H5612 the number^H4557 of the years^H8141 whereof the word^H1697 of Jehovah^H3068 came to Jeremiah^H3414 the prophet,^H5030 for the accomplishing^H4390 of the desolations^H2723 of Jerusalem,^H3389 even seventy^H7657 years.^H8141

For though the fig-tree^H8384 shall not flourish,^H6524 Neither shall fruit^H2981 be in the vines;^H1612 The labor^H4639 of the olive^H2132 shall fail,^H3584 And the fields^H7709 shall yield^H6213 no food;^H400 The flock^H6629 shall be cut off^H1504 from the fold,^H4356 And there shall be no herd^H1241 in the stalls:^H7517
