Then the king^H4428 of Israel^H3478 gathered^H6908 the prophets^H5030 together,^H6908 about four^H702 hundred^H3967 men,^H376 and said^H559 unto them, Shall I go^H3212 against Ramoth-gilead^H7433 to battle,^H4421 or shall I forbear?^H2308 And they said,^H559 Go up;^H5927 for the Lord^H136 will deliver^H5414 it into the hand^H3027 of the king.^H4428

And Jehovah^H3068 said,^H559 Who shall entice^H6601 Ahab^H256 king^H4428 of Israel,^H3478 that he may go up^H5927 and fall^H5307 at Ramoth-gilead?^H7433 And one spake^H559 saying^H559 after this manner,^H3602 and another saying^H559 after that manner.^H3602

that say^H559 to the seers,^H7200 See^H7200 not; and to the prophets,^H2374 Prophesy^H2372 not unto us right things,^H5229 speak^H1696 unto us smooth things,^H2513 prophesy^H2372 deceits,^H4123

For from the least^H6996 of them even unto the greatest^H1419 of them every one is given^H1214 to covetousness;^H1215 and from the prophet^H5030 even unto the priest^H3548 every one dealeth^H6213 falsely.^H8267

Then Jehovah^H3068 said^H559 unto me, The prophets^H5030 prophesy^H5012 lies^H8267 in my name;^H8034 I sent^H7971 them not, neither have I commanded^H6680 them, neither spake^H1696 I unto them: they prophesy^H5012 unto you a lying^H8267 vision,^H2377 and divination,^H7081 and a thing of nought,^H457 and the deceit^H8649 of their own heart.^H3820

They say^H559 continually^H559 unto them that despise^H5006 me, Jehovah^H3068 hath said,^H1696 Ye shall have peace;^H7965 and unto every one that walketh^H1980 in the stubbornness^H8307 of his own heart^H3820 they say,^H559 No evil^H7451 shall come^H935 upon you.

Behold, I am against them that prophesy^H5012 lying^H8267 dreams,^H2472 saith^H5002 Jehovah,^H3068 and do tell^H5608 them, and cause my people^H5971 to err^H8582 by their lies,^H8267 and by their vain boasting:^H6350 yet I sent^H7971 them not, nor commanded^H6680 them; neither do they profit^H3276 this people^H5971 at all,^H3276 saith^H5002 Jehovah.^H3068

Thus speaketh^H559 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts,^H6635 the God^H430 of Israel,^H3478 saying,^H559 I have broken^H7665 the yoke^H5923 of the king^H4428 of Babylon.^H894

Thus saith^H559 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts,^H6635 the God^H430 of Israel,^H3478 concerning Ahab^H256 the son^H1121 of Kolaiah,^H6964 and concerning Zedekiah^H6667 the son^H1121 of Maaseiah,^H4641 who prophesy^H5012 a lie^H8267 unto you in my name:^H8034 Behold, I will deliver^H5414 them into the hand^H3027 of Nebuchadrezzar^H5019 king^H4428 of Babylon;^H894 and he shall slay^H5221 them before your eyes;^H5869

Thus saith^H559 the Lord^H136 Jehovah,^H3069 Woe^H1945 unto the foolish^H5036 prophets,^H5030 that follow^H1980 their own spirit,^H7307 and have seen^H7200 nothing!

Thus saith^H559 Jehovah^H3068 concerning the prophets^H5030 that make my people^H5971 to err;^H8582 that bite^H5391 with their teeth,^H8127 and cry,^H7121 Peace;^H7965 and whoso putteth^H5414 not into their mouths,^H6310 they even prepare^H6942 war^H4421 against him:

For^G1063 they that are such^G5108 serve^G1398 not^G3756 our^G2257 Lord^{G2962 G2424} Christ,^G5547 but^G235 their own^G1438 belly;^G2836 and^G2532 by^G1223 their smooth^G5542 and^G2532 fair speech^G2129 they beguile^G1818 the hearts^G2588 of the innocent.^G172

whose^G3739 end^G5056 is perdition,^G684 whose^G3739 god^G2316 is the belly,^G2836 and^G2532 [whose] glory^G1391 is in^G1722 their^G846 shame,^G152 who^G3588 mind^G5426 earthly things.^G1919

But^G1161 there arose^G1096 false prophets^G5578 also^G2532 among^G1722 the people,^G2992 as^G5613 among^G1722 you^G5213 also^G2532 there shall be^G2071 false teachers,^G5572 who^G3748 shall privily bring in^G3919 destructive^G684 heresies,^G139 denying^G720 even^G2532 the Master^G1203 that bought^G59 them,^G846 bringing upon^G1863 themselves^G1438 swift^G5031 destruction.^G684

Beloved,^G27 believe^G4100 not^G3361 every^G3956 spirit,^G4151 but^G235 prove^G1381 the spirits,^G4151 whether^G1487 they are^G2076 of^G1537 God;^G2316 because^G3754 many^G4183 false prophets^G5578 are gone out^G1831 into^G1519 the world.^G2889
