And it came to pass in the morning,^H1242 that Balak^H1111 took^H3947 Balaam,^H1109 and brought him up^H5927 into the high places^H1116 of Baal;^H1120 and he saw^H7200 from thence the utmost^H7097 part of the people.^H5971

And Balak^H1111 said^H559 unto Balaam,^H1109 Come^H3212 now, I will take^H3947 thee unto another^H312 place;^H4725 peradventure it will please^H3474 God^H430 that thou mayest curse^H6895 me them from thence.

for they called^H7121 the people^H5971 unto the sacrifices^H2077 of their gods;^H430 and the people^H5971 did eat,^H398 and bowed down^H7812 to their gods.^H430

Behold, these^H2007 caused^H1961 the children^H1121 of Israel,^H3478 through the counsel^H1697 of Balaam,^H1109 to commit^H4560 trespass^H4604 against Jehovah^H3068 in the matter^H1697 of Peor,^H6465 and so the plague^H4046 was among the congregation^H5712 of Jehovah.^H3068

And thou shalt remember^H2142 all the way^H1870 which Jehovah^H3068 thy God^H430 hath led^H3212 thee these forty^H705 years^H8141 in the wilderness,^H4057 that he might humble^H6031 thee, to prove^H5254 thee, to know^H3045 what was in thy heart,^H3824 whether thou wouldest keep^H8104 his commandments,^H4687 or not.

Remember,^H2142 forget^H7911 thou not, how thou provokedst Jehovah^H3068 thy God^H430 to wrath^H7107 in the wilderness:^H4057 from^H4480 the day^H3117 that thou wentest forth^H3318 out of the land^H776 of Egypt,^H4714 until ye came^H935 unto this place,^H4725 ye have been rebellious^H4784 against^H5973 Jehovah.^H3068

because^H1697 they met^H6923 you not with bread^H3899 and with water^H4325 in the way,^H1870 when ye came forth^H3318 out of Egypt,^H4714 and because they hired^H7936 against thee Balaam^H1109 the son^H1121 of Beor^H1160 from Pethor^H6604 of Mesopotamia,^H763 to curse^H7043 thee.

And the people^H5971 came up^H5927 out of the Jordan^H3383 on the tenth^H6218 day of the first^H7223 month,^H2320 and encamped^H2583 in Gilgal,^H1537 on the east^H4217 border^H7097 of Jericho.^H3405

And all these kings^H4428 and their land^H776 did Joshua^H3091 take^H3920 at one^H259 time,^H6471 because Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of Israel,^H3478 fought^H3898 for Israel.^H3478

but I would^H14 not hearken^H8085 unto Balaam;^H1109 therefore he blessed^H1288 you still:^H1288 so I delivered^H5337 you out of his hand.^H3027

Now therefore stand still,^H3320 that I may plead^H8199 with you before^H6440 Jehovah^H3068 concerning all the righteous acts^H6666 of Jehovah,^H3068 which he did^H6213 to you and to your fathers.^H1

My mouth^H6310 shall tell^H5608 of thy righteousness,^H6666 [And] of thy salvation^H8668 all the day;^H3117 For I know^H3045 not the numbers^H5615 [thereof].

Wherefore^G1352 remember,^G3421 that^G3754 once^G4218 ye,^G5210 the Gentiles^G1484 in^G1722 the flesh,^G4561 who are^G3588 called^G3004 Uncircumcision^G203 by^G5259 that which is^G3588 called^G3004 Circumcision,^G4061 in^G1722 the flesh,^G4561 made by hands;^G5499

If^G1437 we confess^G3670 our^G2257 sins,^G266 he is^G2076 faithful^G4103 and^G2532 righteous^G1342 to^G2443 forgive^G863 us^G2254 our sins,^G266 and^G2532 to cleanse^G2511 us^G2248 from^G575 all^G3956 unrighteousness.^G93

But^G235 I have^G2192 a few things^G3641 against^G2596 thee,^G4675 because^G3754 thou hast^G2192 there^G1563 some that hold^G2902 the teaching^G1322 of Balaam,^G903 who^G3739 taught^G1321 Balak^G904 to cast^G906 a stumblingblock^G4625 before^G1799 the children^G5207 of Israel,^G2474 to eat^G5315 things sacrificed to idols,^G1494 and^G2532 to commit fornication.^G4203
