And when David^H1732 heard^H8085 that Nabal^H5037 was dead,^H4191 he said,^H559 Blessed^H1288 be Jehovah,^H3068 that hath pleaded^H7378 the cause^H7379 of my reproach^H2781 from the hand^H3027 of Nabal,^H5037 and hath kept^H2820 back his servant^H5650 from evil:^H7451 and the evil-doing^H7451 of Nabal^H5037 hath Jehovah^H3068 returned^H7725 upon his own head.^H7218 And David^H1732 sent^H7971 and spake^H1696 concerning Abigail,^H26 to take^H3947 her to him to wife.^H802

And David^H1732 said^H559 to Abishai,^H52 and to all his servants,^H5650 Behold, my son,^H1121 who came forth^H3318 from my bowels,^H4578 seeketh^H1245 my life:^H5315 how much more [may] this Benjamite^H1145 now [do it]? let him alone,^H3240 and let him curse;^H7043 for Jehovah^H3068 hath bidden^H559 him.

But he knoweth^H3045 the way^H1870 that I take;^H5978 When he hath tried^H974 me, I shall come forth^H3318 as gold.^H2091

How^H637 much less when thou sayest^H559 thou beholdest^H7789 him not, The cause^H1779 is before^H6440 him, and thou waitest^H2342 for him!

And he will make thy righteousness^H6664 to go forth^H3318 as the light,^H216 And thy justice^H4941 as the noon-day.^H6672

Plead^H7378 thou my cause,^H7379 and redeem^H1350 me: Quicken^H2421 me according to thy word.^H565

Thus saith^H559 thy Lord^H113 Jehovah,^H3068 and thy God^H430 that pleadeth^H7378 the cause of his people,^H5971 Behold, I have taken out^H3947 of thy hand^H3027 the cup^H3563 of staggering,^H8653 even the bowl^H6907 of the cup^H3563 of my wrath;^H2534 thou shalt no more^H3254 drink it again:^H8354

Israel^H3478 is a hunted^H6340 sheep;^H7716 the lions^H738 have driven him away:^H5080 first,^H7223 the king^H4428 of Assyria^H804 devoured^H398 him; and now at last^H314 Nebuchadrezzar^H5019 king^H4428 of Babylon^H894 hath broken his bones.^H6105

Jehovah^H3068 hath brought forth^H3318 our righteousness:^H6666 come,^H935 and let us declare^H5608 in Zion^H6726 the work^H4639 of Jehovah^H3068 our God.^H430

Jehovah^H3068 is righteous;^H6662 for I have rebelled^H4784 against his commandment:^H6310 Hear,^H8085 I pray you, all ye peoples,^H5971 and behold^H7200 my sorrow:^H4341 My virgins^H1330 and my young men^H970 are gone^H1980 into captivity.^H7628

Then shall ye return^H7725 and discern^H7200 between the righteous^H6662 and the wicked,^H7563 between him that serveth^H5647 God^H430 and him that serveth^H5647 him not.

Wherefore^G5620 judge^{G2919 G5100} nothing^G3361 before^{G4253 G302} the time,^G2540 until^G2193 the Lord^G2962 come,^G2064 who^G3739 will both^G2532 bring to light^G5461 the hidden things^G2927 of darkness,^G4655 and^G2532 make manifest^G5319 the counsels^G1012 of the hearts;^G2588 and^G2532 then^G5119 shall^G1096 each man^G1538 have^G1096 his praise^G1868 from^G575 God.^G2316

henceforth^G3063 there is laid up^G606 for me^G3427 the crown^G4735 of righteousness,^G1343 which^G3739 the Lord,^G2962 the righteous^G1342 judge,^G2923 shall give^G591 to me^G3427 at^G1722 that^G1565 day;^G2250 and^G1161 not^G3756 to me^G1698 only,^G3440 but^G235 also^G2532 to all^G3956 them^G25 that have loved^G25 his^G846 appearing.^G2015
