Who so preuely slaundreth his neghboure, him wil I destroye: Who so hath a proude loke & an hye stomacke, I maye not awaye with him.

He that kepeth his mouth, kepeth his life: but who so speaketh vnaduysed, fyndeth harme.

The wordes of a slaunderer are very woudes, and go thorow vnto the ynmost partes of the body.

Where no wodd is, there the fyre goeth out: and where the bacbyter is taken awaye, there the strife ceaseth.
