And Eliiah came vnto all the people, and said, How long halt ye betweene two opinions? If the Lord be God, followe him: but if Baal be he, then goe after him; the people answered him not a worde.

Iesus then saide to his disciples, If any man will follow me, let him forsake himselfe: and take vp his crosse, and followe me.

But he answered, and said, Verely I say vnto you, I knowe you not.

And Iesus looked vpon him, & loued him, and sayde vnto him, One thing is lacking vnto thee. Go and sell all that thou hast, and giue to the poore, & thou shalt haue treasure in heauen, and come, followe me, and take vp the crosse.

But he shall say, I tell you, I knowe you not whence ye are: depart from me, all ye workers of iniquitie.

Then spake Iesus againe vnto them, saying, I am that light of the worlde: hee that followeth mee, shall not walke in darkenes, but shall haue that light of life.

To him the porter openeth, & the sheepe heare his voyce, and he calleth his owne sheepe by name, and leadeth them out.

I am that good shepheard, & knowe mine, and am knowen of mine.

If any man serue me, let him followe me: for where I am, there shall also my seruant be: and if any man serue me, him will my Father honour.

For it shalbe that euery person which shall not heare that Prophet, shall be destroyed out of the people.

But now seeing ye knowe God, yea, rather are knowen of God, howe turne ye againe vnto impotent and beggerly rudiments, whereunto as from the beginning ye wil be in bondage againe?

Wherefore, as the holy Ghost sayth, To day if ye shall heare his voyce,

These are they, which are not defiled with women: for they are virgins: these followe the Lambe whithersoeuer he goeth: these are bought from men, being the first fruites vnto God, and to the Lambe.
