Blessed [are] they that keep his testimonies, [and that] seek him with the whole heart.
¶ And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.
¶ The simple believeth every word: but the prudent [man] looketh well to his going.
‹Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:›
¶ Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, ‹If ye continue in my word,› [then] ‹are ye my disciples indeed;›
‹If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.›
¶ And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
Wherefore the law [is] holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
¶ Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
¶ Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble [you], and thereby many be defiled;
So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
