‹And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.›

‹And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;›

¶ ‹Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.›

This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as [he did] unto us;

God also bearing [them] witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

¶ And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
