Introduction to the Blessing of Moses This is the blessing Moses the man of God pronounced upon the Israelites before his death.

The LORD shatters his adversaries; he thunders against them from the heavens. The LORD executes judgment to the ends of the earth. He will strengthen his king and exalt the power of his anointed one.”

Now David was the son of this Ephrathite named Jesse from Bethlehem in Judah. He had eight sons, and in Saul’s days he was old and well advanced in years.

“So now, say this to my servant David:‘This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies has said: I took you from the pasture and from your work as a shepherd to make you leader of my people Israel.

He gives his king magnificent victories; he is faithful to his chosen ruler, to David and to his descendants forever!”

David Thanks God That day David first gave to Asaph and his colleagues this song of thanks to the LORD.

“I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy hill.”

He chose David, his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds.

My hand will support him, and my arm will strengthen him.

For David himself says in the book of Psalms,‘The Lord said to my lord,“Sit at my right hand,

speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music in your hearts to the Lord,

Prayer for the Sick Is anyone among you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone in good spirits? He should sing praises.
