Or why was I not buried like a stillborn infant, like infants who have never seen the light?

Will it go down to the barred gates of death? Will we descend together into the dust?”

He spares a person’s life from corruption, his very life from crossing over the river.

He draws near to the place of corruption, and his life to the messengers of death.

But he will join his ancestors; they will never again see the light of day.

Don’t let the current overpower me! Don’t let the deep swallow me up! Don’t let the Pit devour me!

(9:1) The people walking in darkness see a bright light; light shines on those who live in a land of deep darkness.

Jesus replied,“Are there not twelve hours in a day? If anyone walks around in the daytime, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.
