Then Israel said,“Enough! My son Joseph is still alive! I will go and see him before I die.”

For you will nurse from her satisfying breasts and be nourished; you will feed with joy from her milk-filled breasts.

You have not strengthened the weak, healed the sick, bandaged the injured, brought back the strays, or sought the lost, but with force and harshness you have ruled over them.

The Parable of the Lost Sheep“See that you do not disdain one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.

A Two-stage Healing Then they came to Bethsaida. They brought a blind man to Jesus and asked him to touch him.

“Which one of you, if he has a hundred sheep and loses one of them, would not leave the ninety-nine in the open pasture and go look for the one that is lost until he finds it?

It was appropriate to celebrate and be glad, for your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost and is found.’”

For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whomever he wishes.

Jesus said to her,“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live even if he dies,

and do not present your members to sin as instruments to be used for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead and your members to God as instruments to be used for righteousness.

For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?

If one member suffers, everyone suffers with it. If a member is honored, all rejoice with it.

New Life Individually And although you were dead in your offenses and sins,

For everything made visible is light, and for this reason it says:“Awake, O sleeper! Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you!”

But the one who lives for pleasure is dead even while she lives.

To the Church in Sardis“To the angel of the church in Sardis write the following:“This is the solemn pronouncement of the one who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars:‘I know your deeds, that you have a reputation that you are alive, but in reality you are dead.
