You should tie them as a reminder on your forearm and fasten them as symbols on your forehead.

Anyone who would not seek the LORD God of Israel would be executed, whether they were young or old, male or female.

Pay attention, all you people, both rich and poor!

The LORD said to him,“Go through the city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of the people who moan and groan over all the abominations practiced in it.”

I have experienced help from God to this day, and so I stand testifying to both small and great, saying nothing except what the prophets and Moses said was going to happen:

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female– for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.

because you know that each person, whether slave or free, if he does something good, this will be rewarded by the Lord.

And just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these people– who have warped minds and are disqualified in the faith– also oppose the truth.

“Do not damage the earth or the sea or the trees until we have put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.”

A third angel followed the first two, declaring in a loud voice:“If anyone worships the beast and his image, and takes the mark on his forehead or his hand,

Then a voice came from the throne, saying:“Praise our God all you his servants, and all you who fear him, both the small and the great!”

Now the beast was seized, and along with him the false prophet who had performed the signs on his behalf– signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. Both of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with sulfur.

And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne. Then books were opened, and another book was opened– the book of life. So the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to their deeds.
