And when Pharaoh^H6547 drew nigh,^H7126 the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 lifted up^H5375 their eyes,^H5869 and, behold, the Egyptians^H4714 were marching^H5265 after^H310 them; and they were sore^H3966 afraid:^H3372 and the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 cried out^H6817 unto Jehovah.^H3068

And the hand^H3027 of Midian^H4080 prevailed^H5810 against Israel;^H3478 and because^H6440 of Midian^H4080 the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 made^H6213 them the dens^H4492 which are in the mountains,^H2022 and the caves,^H4631 and the strongholds.^H4679

And the men^H376 of Israel^H3478 turned,^H2015 and the men^H376 of Benjamin^H1144 were dismayed;^H926 for they saw^H7200 that evil^H7451 was come^H5060 upon them.

Then came up^H5927 the Ziphites^H2130 to Saul^H7586 to Gibeah,^H1390 saying,^H559 Doth not David^H1732 hide^H5641 himself with us in the strongholds^H4679 in the wood,^H2793 in the hill^H1389 of Hachilah,^H2444 which is on the south^H3225 of the desert?^H3452

And when the men^H582 of Israel^H3478 that were on the other side^H5676 of the valley,^H6010 and they that were beyond^H5676 the Jordan,^H3383 saw^H7200 that the men^H582 of Israel^H3478 fled,^H5127 and that Saul^H7586 and his sons^H1121 were dead,^H4191 they forsook^H5800 the cities,^H5892 and fled;^H5127 and the Philistines^H6430 came^H935 and dwelt^H3427 in them.

But this is a people^H5971 robbed^H962 and plundered;^H8154 they are all of them snared^H6351 in holes,^H2352 and they are hid^H2244 in prison -^H3608 houses:^H1004 they are for a prey,^H957 and none delivereth;^H5337 for a spoil,^H4933 and none saith,^H559 Restore.^H7725

(of whom^G3739 the world^G2889 was^G2258 not^G3756 worthy),^G514 wandering^G4105 in^G1722 deserts^G2047 and^G2532 mountains^G3735 and^G2532 caves,^G4693 and^G2532 the holes^G3692 of the earth.^G1093
