[ A Psalm of David. Maschil.] Blessed^H835 is he whose transgression^H6588 is forgiven,^H5375 Whose sin^H2401 is covered.^H3680

Jehovah^H3068 openeth^H6491 [the eyes of] the blind;^H5787 Jehovah^H3068 raiseth^H2210 up them that are bowed down;^H3721 Jehovah^H3068 loveth^H157 the righteous;^H6662

And in that day^H3117 shall the deaf^H2795 hear^H8085 the words^H1697 of the book,^H5612 and the eyes^H5869 of the blind^H5787 shall see^H7200 out of obscurity^H652 and out of darkness.^H2822

Then the eyes^H5869 of the blind^H5787 shall be opened,^H6491 and the ears^H241 of the deaf^H2795 shall be unstopped.^H6605

And I will bring^H3212 the blind^H5787 by a way^H1870 that they know^H3045 not; in paths^H5410 that they know^H3045 not will I lead^H1869 them; I will make^H7760 darkness^H4285 light^H216 before^H6440 them, and crooked places^H4625 straight.^H4334 These things^H4625 will I do,^H6213 and I will not forsake^H5800 them.

yea, he saith,^H559 It is too light a thing^H7043 that thou shouldest be my servant^H5650 to raise up^H6965 the tribes^H7626 of Jacob,^H3290 and to restore^H7725 the preserved^H5341 of Israel:^H3478 I will also give^H5414 thee for a light^H216 to the Gentiles,^H1471 that thou mayest be my salvation^H3444 unto the end^H7097 of the earth.^H776

By oppression^H6115 and judgment^H4941 he was taken^H3947 away; and as for his generation,^H1755 who [among them] considered^H7878 that he was cut off^H1504 out of the land^H776 of the living^H2416 for the transgression^H6588 of my people^H5971 to whom the stroke^H5061 [was due]?

But unto you that fear^H3373 my name^H8034 shall the sun^H8121 of righteousness^H6666 arise^H2224 with healing^H4832 in its wings;^H3671 and ye shall go forth,^H3318 and gambol^H6335 as calves^H5695 of the stall.^H4770

The lamp^G3088 of the body^G4983 is^G2076 the eye:^G3788 if^G1437 therefore^G3767 thine^G4675 eye^G3788 be^G5600 single,^G573 thy^G4675 whole^G3650 body^G4983 shall be^G2071 full of light.^G5460

To shine^G2014 upon them^G3588 that sit^G2521 in^G1722 darkness^G4655 and^G2532 the shadow^G4639 of death;^G2288 To guide^G2720 our^G2257 feet^G4228 into^G1519 the way^G3598 of peace.^G1515

The Spirit^G4151 of the Lord^G2962 is upon^G1909 me,^G1691 Because^G1752 he anointed^G5548 me^G3165 to preach good tidings^G2097 to the poor:^G4434 He hath sent^G649 me^G3165 to proclaim^G2784 release^G859 to the captives,^G164 And^G2532 recovering of sight^G309 to the blind,^G5185 To set^G649 at^G1722 liberty^G859 them that are bruised,^G3739

Then^G5119 opened he^G1272 their^G846 mind,^G3563 that^G3588 they might understand^G4920 the scriptures;^G1124

In^G1722 him^G846 was^G2258 life;^G2222 and^G2532 the life^G2222 was^G2258 the light^G5457 of men.^G444

Jesus^G2424 answered^G611 and^G2532 said^G2036 unto her,^G846 If^G1487 thou knewest^G1492 the gift^G1431 of God,^G2316 and^G2532 who^G5101 it is^G2076 that saith^G3004 to thee,^G4671 Give^G1325 me^G3427 to drink;^G4095 thou^{G4771 G302} wouldest have asked^G154 of him,^G846 and^G2532 he would have given^{G1325 G302} thee^G4671 living^G2198 water.^G5204

He that believeth^G4100 on^G1519 me,^G1691 as^G2531 the scripture^G1124 hath said,^G2036 from^G1537 within^G846 him^G2836 shall flow^G4482 rivers^G4215 of^G1537 living^G2198 water.^G5204

When^G3752 I am^G5600 in^G1722 the world,^G2889 I am^G1510 the light^G5457 of the world.^G2889

Jesus^G2424 therefore^G3767 said^G2036 unto them,^G846 Yet^G2089 a little^G3398 while^G5550 is^G2076 the light^G5457 among^G3326 you.^G5216 Walk^G4043 while^G2193 ye have^G2192 the light,^G5457 that darkness^G4653 overtake^G2638 you^G5209 not:^G2443 and^G2532 he that walketh^G4043 in^G1722 the darkness^G4653 knoweth^G1492 not^G3756 whither^G4226 he goeth.^G3361

And^G2532 Peter^G4074 [said]^G5346 unto^G4314 them,^G846 Repent^G3340 ye, and^G2532 be baptized^G907 every one^G1538 of you^G5216 in^G1909 the name^G3686 of Jesus^G2424 Christ^G5547 unto the remission^G859 of your sins;^G266 and^G2532 ye shall receive^G2983 the^G4151 gift^G1431 of the^G4151 Holy^G40 Spirit.^G4151

Him^G5126 did^G5312 God^G2316 exalt^G5312 with^G1188 his^G846 right hand^G1188 [to be] a Prince^G747 and^G2532 a Saviour,^G4990 to give^G1325 repentance^G3341 to Israel,^G2474 and^G2532 remission^G859 of sins.^G266

To him^G5129 bear^G3140 all^G3956 the prophets^G4396 witness,^G3140 that through^G1223 his^G846 name^G3686 every one^G3956 that believeth^G4100 on^G1519 him^G846 shall receive^G2983 remission^G859 of sins.^G266

For^G1063 so^G3779 hath^G1781 the Lord^G2962 commanded^G1781 us,^G2254 [saying], I have set^G5087 thee^G4571 for^G1519 a light^G5457 of the Gentiles,^G1484 That thou^G4571 shouldest be^G1511 for^G1519 salvation^G4991 unto^G2193 the uttermost part^G2078 of the earth.^G1093

testifying^G1263 both^G5037 to Jews^G2453 and^G2532 to Greeks^G1672 repentance^G3341 toward^G1519 God,^G2316 and^G2532 faith^G4102 toward^G1519 our^G2257 Lord^G2962 Jesus^G2424 Christ.^G5547

how that^G1487 the Christ^G5547 must^G3195 suffer,^G3805 [and] how that^G1487 he first^G4413 by the resurrection^G386 of^G1537 the dead^G3498 should proclaim^G2605 light^G5457 both to the people^G2992 and^G2532 to the Gentiles.^G1484

Being therefore^G3767 justified^G1344 by^G1537 faith,^G4102 we have^G2192 peace^G1515 with^G4314 God^G2316 through^G1223 our^G2257 Lord^G2962 Jesus^G2424 Christ;^G5547

unto the church^G1577 of God^G2316 which is^G5607 at^G1722 Corinth,^G2882 [even] them that are sanctified^G37 in^G1722 Christ^G5547 Jesus,^G2424 called^G2822 [to be] saints,^G40 with^G4862 all^G3956 that call upon^G1941 the name^G3686 of our^G2257 Lord^G2962 Jesus^G2424 Christ^G5547 in^G1722 every^G3956 place,^{G5117 G5037} their^G846 [Lord] and^G2532 ours:^G2257

nor^G3777 thieves,^G2812 nor^G3777 covetous,^G4123 nor^G3777 drunkards,^G3183 nor^G3756 revilers,^G3060 nor^G3756 extortioners,^G727 shall^G3756 inherit^G2816 the kingdom^G932 of God.^G2316

Seeing^G3754 it is God,^G2316 that^G3739 said,^G2036 Light^G5457 shall shine^G2989 out of^G1537 darkness,^G4655 who shined^G2989 in^G1722 our^G2257 hearts,^G2588 to^G4314 give the light^G5462 of the knowledge^G1108 of the glory^G1391 of God^G2316 in^G1722 the face^G4383 of Jesus^G2424 Christ.^G5547

I have been crucified with^G4957 Christ;^G5547 and^G1161 it is no^G3765 longer I^G1473 that live,^G2198 but^G1161 Christ^G5547 living^G2198 in^G1722 me:^G1698 and^G1161 that [life] which^G3739 I^G2198 now^G3568 live^G2198 in^G1722 the flesh^G4561 I live^G2198 in^G1722 faith,^G4102 [the faith] which is in the Son^G5207 of God,^G2316 who^G3588 loved^G25 me,^G3165 and^G2532 gave^G3860 himself^G1438 up for^G5228 me.^G1700

that^G2443 upon^G1519 the Gentiles^G1484 might come^G1096 the blessing^G2129 of Abraham^G11 in^G1722 Christ^G5547 Jesus;^G2424 that^G2443 we might receive^G2983 the promise^G1860 of the Spirit^G4151 through^G1223 faith.^G4102

in^G1722 whom^G3739 also^G2532 we were made a heritage,^G2820 having been foreordained^G4309 according to^G2596 the purpose^G4286 of him who^G3588 worketh^G1754 all things^G3956 after^G2596 the counsel^G1012 of his^G846 will;^G2307

having the eyes^G3788 of your^G5216 heart^G1271 enlightened,^G1519 that^G3588 ye^G5209 may know^G1492 what^G5101 is^G2076 the hope^G1680 of his^G846 calling,^{G2821 G2532} what^G5101 the riches^G4149 of the glory^G1391 of his^G846 inheritance^G2817 in^G1722 the saints,^G40

being^G5607 darkened^G4654 in their understanding,^G1271 alienated^G526 from the life^G2222 of God,^G2316 because^G1223 of the ignorance^G52 that is^G5607 in^G1722 them,^G846 because^G1223 of the hardening^G4457 of their^G846 heart;^G2588

Wherefore^G1352 [he] saith,^G3004 Awake, thou^G1453 that^G3588 sleepest,^G2518 and^G2532 arise^G450 from^G1537 the dead,^G3498 and^G2532 Christ^G5547 shall shine^G2017 upon^G2017 thee.^G4671

But^G1161 ye,^G5210 brethren,^G80 are^G2075 not^G3756 in^G1722 darkness,^G4655 that^G2443 that day^G2250 should overtake^G2638 you^G5209 as^G5613 a thief:^G2812

not^G3756 by^G1537 works^G2041 [done] in^G1722 righteousness,^G1343 which^G3739 we^G2249 did^G4160 ourselves, but^G235 according to^G2596 his^G846 mercy^G1656 he saved^G4982 us,^G2248 through^G1223 the washing^G3067 of regeneration^G3824 and^G2532 renewing^G342 of the Holy^G40 Spirit,^G4151

And^G2532 for^G1223 this cause^G5124 he is^G2076 the mediator^G3316 of a new^G2537 covenant,^G1242 that^G3704 a death^G2288 having taken place^G1096 for^G1519 the redemption^G629 of the transgressions^G3847 that were under^G1909 the first^G4413 covenant,^G1242 they that have been called^G2564 may receive^G2983 the promise^G1860 of the eternal^G166 inheritance.^G2817

For^G1063 by one^G1520 offering^G4376 he hath perfected^G5048 for^G1519 ever^G1336 them that are sanctified.^G37

Hearken,^G191 my^G3450 beloved^G27 brethren;^G80 did^G1586 not^G3756 God^G2316 choose^G1586 them that are poor^G4434 as to the^G5127 world^G2889 [to be] rich^G4145 in^G1722 faith,^G4102 and^G2532 heirs^G2818 of the kingdom^G932 which^G3739 he promised^G1861 to them that^G3588 love^G25 him?^G846

But^G1161 ye^G5210 are an elect^G1588 race,^G1085 a royal^G934 priesthood,^G2406 a holy^G40 nation,^G1484 a ^G1519 people^G2992 for [God's] own possession,^G4047 that^G3704 ye may show forth^G1804 the excellencies^G703 of him who called^G2564 you^G5209 out of^G1537 darkness^G4655 into^G1519 his^G846 marvellous^G2298 light:^G5457

If^G1437 we confess^G3670 our^G2257 sins,^G266 he is^G2076 faithful^G4103 and^G2532 righteous^G1342 to^G2443 forgive^G863 us^G2254 our sins,^G266 and^G2532 to cleanse^G2511 us^G2248 from^G575 all^G3956 unrighteousness.^G93

I write^G1125 unto you,^G5213 [my] little children,^G5040 because^G3754 your^G5213 sins^G266 are forgiven you^G863 for^G1223 his^G846 name's^G3686 sake.^G1223

We know^G1492 that^G3754 we are^G2070 of^G1537 God,^G2316 and^G2532 the whole^G3650 world^G2889 lieth^G2749 in^G1722 the evil^G4190 one.

And^G2532 he laid hold^G2902 on the dragon,^G1404 the old^G744 serpent,^G3789 which^G3739 is^G2076 the Devil^G1228 and^G2532 Satan,^G4567 and^G2532 bound^G1210 him^G846 for a thousand^G5507 years,^G2094
