And Jacob^H3290 called^H7121 the name^H8034 of the place^H4725 Peniel:^H6439 for, [said he], I have seen^H7200 God^H430 face^H6440 to face,^H6440 and my life^H5315 is preserved.^H5337

And the priest^H3548 shall burn^H6999 it upon the altar:^H4196 it is the food^H3899 of the offering made by fire^H801 unto Jehovah.^H3068

And the angel^H4397 of Jehovah^H3068 said^H559 unto him, Wherefore askest^H7592 thou after my name,^H8034 seeing it is wonderful?^H6383

He maketh wars^H4421 to cease^H7673 unto the end^H7097 of the earth;^H776 He breaketh^H7665 the bow,^H7198 and cutteth^H7112 the spear^H2595 in sunder;^H7112 He burneth^H8313 the chariots^H5699 in the fire.^H784

Therefore will the Lord,^H113 Jehovah^H136 of hosts,^H6635 send^H7971 among his fat ones^H4924 leanness;^H7332 and under his glory^H3519 there shall be kindled^H3344 a burning^H3350 like the burning of fire.^H784

For a Topheth^H8613 is prepared^H6186 of old;^H865 yea, for the king^H4428 it is made ready;^H3559 he hath made it deep^H6009 and large;^H7337 the pile^H4071 thereof is fire^H784 and much^H7235 wood;^H6086 the breath^H5397 of Jehovah,^H3068 like a stream^H5158 of brimstone,^H1614 doth kindle^H1197 it.

For, behold, Jehovah^H3068 will come^H935 with fire,^H784 and his chariots^H4818 shall be like the whirlwind;^H5492 to render^H7725 his anger^H639 with fierceness,^H2534 and his rebuke^H1606 with flames^H3851 of fire.^H784

At the noise^H6963 of the stamping^H8161 of the hoofs^H6541 of his strong^H47 ones, at the rushing^H7494 of his chariots,^H7393 at the rumbling^H1995 of his wheels,^H1534 the fathers^H1 look not back^H6437 to their children^H1121 for feebleness^H7510 of hands;^H3027

Like the noise^H6963 of chariots^H4818 on the tops^H7218 of the mountains^H2022 do they leap,^H7540 like the noise^H6963 of a flame^H3851 of fire^H784 that devoureth^H398 the stubble,^H7179 as a strong^H6099 people^H5971 set in battle^H4421 array.^H6186

The noise^H6963 of the whip,^H7752 and the noise^H6963 of the rattling^H7494 of wheels,^H212 and prancing^H1725 horses,^H5483 and bounding^H7540 chariots,^H4818

But who can abide^H3557 the day^H3117 of his coming?^H935 and who shall stand^H5975 when he appeareth?^H7200 for he is like a refiner's^H6884 fire,^H784 and like fuller's^H3526 soap:^H1287

And^G2532 there appeared^G3700 unto them^G846 tongues^G1100 parting^G1266 asunder, like as^G5616 of fire;^G4442 and^G5037 it sat^G2523 upon^G1909 each^G1538 one^G1520 of them.^G846

rendering^G1325 vengeance^G1557 to them that know^G1492 not^G3361 God,^G2316 and^G2532 to them that obey^G5219 not^G3361 the gospel^G2098 of our^G2257 Lord^G2962 Jesus:^G2424
