And they gathered together^H6908 to Mizpah,^H4709 and drew^H7579 water,^H4325 and poured it out^H8210 before^H6440 Jehovah,^H3068 and fasted^H6684 on that day,^H3117 and said^H559 there, We have sinned^H2398 against Jehovah.^H3068 And Samuel^H8050 judged^H8199 the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 in Mizpah.^H4708

Now while Ezra^H5830 prayed^H6419 and made confession,^H3034 weeping^H1058 and casting himself down^H5307 before^H6440 the house^H1004 of God,^H430 there was gathered^H6908 together unto him out of Israel^H3478 a very^H3966 great^H7227 assembly^H6951 of men^H582 and women^H802 and children;^H3206 for the people^H582 wept^H1058 very^H7235 sore.^H1059

They shall come^H935 with weeping;^H1065 and with supplications^H8469 will I lead^H2986 them: I will cause them to walk^H3212 by rivers^H5158 of waters,^H4325 in a straight^H3477 way^H1870 wherein they shall not stumble;^H3782 for I am a father^H1 to Israel,^H3478 and Ephraim^H669 is my first-born.^H1060

And I will pour^H8210 upon the house^H1004 of David,^H1732 and upon the inhabitants^H3427 of Jerusalem,^H3389 the spirit^H7307 of grace^H2580 and of supplication;^H8469 and they shall look^H5027 unto me whom they have pierced;^H1856 and they shall mourn^H4553 for him, as one mourneth^H5594 for his only^H3173 son, and shall be in bitterness^H4843 for him, as one that is in bitterness^H4843 for his first-born.^H1060

and^G2532 standing^G2476 behind^G3694 at^G3844 his^G846 feet,^G4228 weeping,^G2799 she began^G756 to wet^G1026 his^G846 feet^G4228 with her tears,^G1144 and^G2532 wiped^G1591 them with the hair^G2359 of her^G846 head,^G2776 and^G2532 kissed^G2705 his^G846 feet,^G4228 and^G2532 anointed^G218 them with the ointment.^G3464

Be afflicted,^G5003 and^G2532 mourn,^G3996 and^G2532 weep:^G2799 let^G3344 your^G5216 laughter^G1071 be turned^G3344 to^G1519 mourning,^G3997 and^G2532 your joy^G5479 to^G1519 heaviness.^G2726
