And Moses entred into the middes of the cloude, and went vp to the mountaine: and Moses was in the mount fourtie dayes and fourty nightes.

When I was gone vp into the mount, to receiue the tables of stone, the tables, I say, of the couenant, which the Lord made with you: and I abode in the mount fourtie daies & fourtie nights, and I neither ate bread nor yet dranke water:

Then I fell downe before ye Lorde fourtie dayes & fourtie nightes, as I fell downe before, because ye Lord had said, that he woulde destroy you.

Then he arose, and did eate and drinke, and walked in the strength of that meate fourtie dayes and fourtie nights, vnto Horeb the mount of God.

And on the morowe when they were come out from Bethania, he was hungry.

And there was Iacobs well. Iesus then wearied in the iourney, sate thus on the well: it was about the sixt houre.
