Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their close places.

I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.

My days [are] like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.

¶ Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty [is] a fading flower, which [are] on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people [is] grass.
