And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.
I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
¶ Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.
Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, [and] with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.
And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, ‹Believe ye that I am able to do this?› They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.
‹The Spirit of the Lord› [is] ‹upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,›
And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare [him] stood still. And he said, ‹Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.›
And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.
¶ And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:
The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and [yet] he hath opened mine eyes.
For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed [with them]: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.
‹To open their eyes,› [and] ‹to turn› [them] ‹from darkness to light, and› [from] ‹the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.›
