TSK · Luke 7:38

And it came to pass, when the angel of the LORD spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.

I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.

The sacrifices of God [are] a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment.

And thou wentest to the king with ointment, and didst increase thy perfumes, and didst send thy messengers far off, and didst debase [thyself even] unto hell.

They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim [is] my firstborn.

¶ Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye [even] to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:

‹Blessed› [are] ‹they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.›

And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, ‹Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped› [them] ‹with the hairs of her head.›

He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.

Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and [your] joy to heaviness.
