How are they [brought] into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
The best of them [is] as a brier: the most upright [is sharper] than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen [and] thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.
¶ And king Herod heard [of him]; (for his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.
They answering said, John the Baptist; but some [say], Elias; and others [say], that one of the old prophets is risen again.
