TSK · Malachi 4:1

His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.

For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

For the day of the LORD of hosts [shall be] upon every [one that is] proud and lofty, and upon every [one that is] lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.

Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: [there shall] not [be] a coal to warm at, [nor] fire to sit before it.

¶ Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for [it is] nigh at hand;

¶ Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height [was] like the height of the cedars, and he [was] strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.

The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.

¶ The great day of the LORD [is] near, [it is] near, and hasteth greatly, [even] the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.

¶ Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, [they that] tempt God are even delivered.

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

‹For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,›

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
