Job 27:8 TSK

For what [is] the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?

Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

¶ Every one [that is] proud in heart [is] an abomination to the LORD: [though] hand [join] in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

¶ Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

‹Therefore when thou doest› [thine] ‹alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.›

¶ ‹Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:›

‹And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.›

¶ ‹But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in› [yourselves], ‹neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.›

And he said unto them in his doctrine, ‹Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and› [love] ‹salutations in the marketplaces,›

Then said he also to him that bade him, ‹When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor› [thy] ‹rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.›

‹Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.›

‹Which devour widows' houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.›

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
