¶ [As] a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, [so is] a fair woman which is without discretion.

¶ As a dog returneth to his vomit, [so] a fool returneth to his folly.

But he answered and said, ‹It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast› [it] ‹to dogs.›

‹And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.›

[In] journeyings often, [in] perils of waters, [in] perils of robbers, [in] perils by [mine own] countrymen, [in] perils by the heathen, [in] perils in the city, [in] perils in the wilderness, [in] perils in the sea, [in] perils among false brethren;

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
