All the silver and gold, as well as bronze and iron items, belong to the LORD. They must go into the LORD’s treasury.”

Then David and his men went up and raided the Geshurites, the Girzites, and the Amalekites.(They had been living in that land for a long time, from the approach to Shur as far as the land of Egypt.)

David took all the flocks and herds and drove them in front of the rest of the animals. People were saying,“This is David’s plunder!”

Supervisors of the Storehouses Their fellow Levites were in charge of the storehouses in God’s temple and the storehouses containing consecrated items.

They had dedicated some of the plunder taken in battles to be used for repairs on the LORD’s temple.
