The people were delighted with their donations, for they contributed to the LORD with a willing attitude; King David was also very happy.

O LORD, I have built a lofty temple for you, a place where you can live permanently.”

But now I have chosen Jerusalem as a place to live, and I have chosen David to lead my people Israel.’

For if the eagerness is present, the gift itself is acceptable according to whatever one has, not according to what he does not have.
