That is why a man leaves his father and mother and unites with his wife, and they become a new family.

All the direct descendants of Jacob who went to Egypt with him were sixty-six in number.(This number does not include the wives of Jacob’s sons.)

David married more concubines and wives from Jerusalem after he arrived from Hebron. Even more sons and daughters were born to David.

Jehu Wipes Out Ahab’s Family Ahab had seventy sons living in Samaria. So Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria to the leading officials of Jezreel and to the guardians of Ahab’s dynasty. This is what the letters said,
