David said to him, "Don't be afraid of him; for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father's sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your father. You shall eat bread at my table continually."

A messenger came to David, saying, "The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom."

For all my father's house were but dead men before my lord the king; yet you set your servant among those who ate at your own table. What right therefore have I yet that I should cry any more to the king?"

The king answered, "Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good to you. Whatever you require of me, that I will do for you."

and for his allowance, there was a continual allowance given him of the king, every day a portion, all the days of his life.

and changed his prison garments. [Jehoiachin] ate bread before him continually all the days of his life:

But you are those who have continued with me in my trials.
