And the king stood by the pillar, and made a covenant before Jehovah, to walk after Jehovah, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all [his] heart, and all [his] soul, to confirm the words of this covenant that were written in this book: and all the people stood to the covenant.
Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel.
And Jehoiada made a covenant between himself, and all the people, and the king, that they should be Jehovah's people.

They shall inquire concerning Zion with their faces thitherward, [saying], Come ye, and join yourselves to Jehovah in an everlasting covenant that shall not be forgotten.
