and upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,

Yea, the fir-trees rejoice at thee, [and] the cedars of Lebanon, [saying], Since thou art laid low, no hewer is come up against us.

The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the lofty people of the earth do languish.

It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing; the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon: they shall see the glory of Jehovah, the excellency of our God.

Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars.
