Thou shalt have no other^H312 gods^H430 before me.^H6440

But thus shall ye deal^H6213 with them: ye shall break down^H7665 their altars,^H4196 and dash^H7665 in pieces their pillars,^H4676 and hew down^H1438 their Asherim,^H842 and burn^H8313 their graven images^H6456 with fire.^H784

And they left^H5800 their images^H6091 there; and David^H1732 and his men^H582 took them away.^H5375

For he sacrificed^H2076 unto the gods^H430 of Damascus,^H1834 which smote^H5221 him; and he said,^H559 Because the gods^H430 of the kings^H4428 of Syria^H758 helped^H5826 them, therefore will I sacrifice^H2076 to them, that they may help^H5826 me. But they were the ruin^H3782 of him, and of all Israel.^H3478

Thus saith^H559 Jehovah:^H3068 For three^H7969 transgressions^H6588 of Judah,^H3063 yea, for four,^H702 I will not turn away^H7725 the punishment thereof; because they have rejected^H3988 the law^H8451 of Jehovah,^H3068 and have not kept^H8104 his statutes,^H2706 and their lies^H3577 have caused them to err,^H8582 after^H310 which their fathers^H1 did walk:^H1980
