And the king^H4428 stood^H5975 by the pillar,^H5982 and made^H3772 a covenant^H1285 before^H6440 Jehovah,^H3068 to walk^H3212 after^H310 Jehovah,^H3068 and to keep^H8104 his commandments,^H4687 and his testimonies,^H5715 and his statutes,^H2708 with all [his] heart,^H3820 and all [his] soul,^H5315 to confirm^H6965 the words^H1697 of this covenant^H1285 that were written^H3789 in this book:^H5612 and all the people^H5971 stood^H5975 to the covenant.^H1285

Now it was in the heart^H3824 of David^H1732 my father^H1 to build^H1129 a house^H1004 for the name^H8034 of Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of Israel.^H3478

And Jehoiada^H3077 made^H3772 a covenant^H1285 between himself, and all the people,^H5971 and the king,^H4428 that they should be Jehovah's^H3068 people.^H5971

And the king^H4428 went up^H5927 to the house^H1004 of Jehovah,^H3068 and all the men^H376 of Judah^H3063 and the inhabitants^H3427 of Jerusalem,^H3389 and the priests,^H3548 and the Levites,^H3881 and all the people,^H5971 both great^H1419 and small:^H6996 and he read^H7121 in their ears^H241 all the words^H1697 of the book^H5612 of the covenant^H1285 that was found^H4672 in the house^H1004 of Jehovah.^H3068

and Ezra^H5830 blessed^H1288 Jehovah,^H3068 the great^H1419 God.^H430 And all the people^H5971 answered,^H6030 Amen,^H543 Amen,^H543 with the lifting up^H4607 of their hands:^H3027 and they bowed^H6915 their heads, and worshipped^H7812 Jehovah^H3068 with their faces^H639 to the ground.^H776

Will he retain^H5201 [his anger] for ever?^H5769 will he keep^H8104 it to the end?^H5331 Behold, thou hast spoken^H1696 and hast done^H6213 evil things,^H7451 and hast had thy way.^H3201

And ye were now^H3117 turned,^H7725 and had done^H6213 that which is right^H3477 in mine eyes,^H5869 in proclaiming^H7121 liberty^H1865 every man^H376 to his neighbor;^H7453 and ye had made^H3772 a covenant^H1285 before^H6440 me in the house^H1004 which is called^H7121 by my name:^H8034

They shall inquire^H7592 concerning^H1870 Zion^H6726 with their faces^H6440 thitherward,^H2008 [saying], Come^H935 ye, and join^H3867 yourselves to Jehovah^H3068 in an everlasting^H5769 covenant^H1285 that shall not be forgotten.^H7911
