Surely there is no enchantment^H5173 with Jacob;^H3290 Neither is there any divination^H7081 with Israel:^H3478 Now^H6256 shalt it be said^H559 of Jacob^H3290 and of Israel,^H3478 What hath God^H410 wrought!^H6466

Behold, I and the children^H3206 whom Jehovah^H3068 hath given^H5414 me are for signs^H226 and for wonders^H4159 in Israel^H3478 from Jehovah^H3068 of hosts,^H6635 who dwelleth^H7931 in mount^H2022 Zion.^H6726

And^G2532 coming^G2064 into^G1519 his own^G846 country^G3968 he taught^G1321 them^G846 in^G1722 their^G846 synagogue,^G4864 insomuch that^G5620 they^G846 were astonished,^G1605 and^G2532 said,^G3004 Whence^G4159 hath this^G5129 man this^G5129 wisdom,^G4678 and^G2532 these mighty works?^G1411

The neighbors^G1069 therefore,^G3767 and^G2532 they that^G3754 saw^G2334 him^G846 aforetime,^G4386 that^G3754 he was^G2258 a beggar,^G5185 said,^G3004 Is^G2076 not^G3756 this^G3778 he that sat^G2521 and^G2532 begged?^G4319

And^G1161 they were^G1839 all^G3956 amazed,^G1839 and^G2532 were^G1839 perplexed,^G1280 saying^G3004 one^G243 to^G4314 another,^G243 What^G5101 meaneth^G2309 this?^G1511

Now^G1161 when they beheld^G2334 the boldness^G3954 of Peter^G4074 and^G2532 John,^G2491 and^G2532 had perceived^G2638 that^G3754 they were^G1526 unlearned^G62 and^G2532 ignorant^G2399 men,^G444 they marvelled;^G2296 and^G5037 they took knowledge^G1921 of them,^G846 that^G3754 they had been^G2258 with^G4862 Jesus.^G2424

But^G1161 Saul,^G4569 yet^G2089 breathing^G1709 threatening^G547 and^G1161 slaughter^G5408 against^G1519 the disciples^G3101 of the Lord,^G2962 went unto^G4334 the high priest,^G749

For^G1063 ye have heard of^G191 my^G1699 manner of life^G391 in time past^G4218 in^G1722 the Jews' religion,^G2454 how that^G3754 beyond^G2596 measure^G5236 I persecuted^G1377 the church^G1577 of God,^G2316 and^G2532 made havoc^G4199 of it:^G846

Behold^G1492 what manner of^G4217 love^G26 the Father^G3962 hath bestowed^G1325 upon us,^G2254 that^G2443 we should be called^G2564 children^G5043 of God;^G2316 and [such] we are. For this^G1223 cause^G5124 the world^G2889 knoweth^G1097 us^G2248 not,^G3756 because^G3754 it knew^G1097 him^G846 not.^G3756
