Pardon,^H5545 I pray thee, the iniquity^H5771 of this people^H5971 according unto the greatness^H1433 of thy lovingkindness,^H2617 and according as thou hast forgiven^H5375 this people,^H5971 from Egypt^H4714 even until now.^H2008

And hearken^H8085 thou to the supplications^H8469 of thy servant,^H5650 and of thy people^H5971 Israel,^H3478 when they shall pray^H6419 toward this place:^H4725 yea, hear^H8085 thou from thy dwelling -^H3427 place,^H4725 even from heaven;^H8064 and when thou hearest^H8085 forgive.^H5545

then hear^H8085 thou from heaven,^H8064 even from thy dwelling -^H3427 place,^H4349 their prayer^H8605 and their supplications,^H8467 and maintain^H6213 their cause,^H4941 and forgive^H5545 thy people^H5971 who have sinned^H2398 against thee.

We see^H7200 not our signs:^H226 There is no more any prophet;^H5030 Neither is there among us any that knoweth^H3045 how long.^H5704

Remember^H2142 not against us the iniquities^H5771 of our forefathers:^H7223 Let thy tender mercies^H7356 speedily^H4118 meet^H6923 us; For we are brought^H1809 very^H3966 low.^H1809

Wilt thou be angry^H599 with us for ever?^H5769 Wilt thou draw out^H4900 thine anger^H639 to all^H1755 generations?^H1755

Not unto us, O Jehovah,^H3068 not unto us, But unto thy name^H8034 give^H5414 glory,^H3519 For thy lovingkindness,^H2617 and for thy truth's^H571 sake.

For^H3588 thou art our Father,^H1 though Abraham^H85 knoweth^H3808 us not, and Israel^H3478 doth not acknowledge^H5234 us: thou, O Jehovah,^H3068 art our Father;^H1 our Redeemer^H1350 from everlasting^H5769 is thy name.^H8034

Be not wroth^H7107 very sore,^H3966 O Jehovah,^H3068 neither remember^H2142 iniquity^H5771 for ever:^H5703 behold, look,^H5027 we beseech thee, we are all thy people.^H5971

Why shouldest thou be as a man^H376 affrighted,^H1724 as a mighty man^H1368 that cannot^H3201 save?^H3467 yet thou, O Jehovah,^H3068 art in the midst^H7130 of us, and we are called^H7121 by thy name;^H8034 leave^H3240 us not.

For, lo, I begin^H2490 to work evil^H7489 at the city^H5892 which is called^H7121 by my name;^H8034 and should ye be utterly^H5352 unpunished?^H5352 Ye shall not be unpunished;^H5352 for I will call^H7121 for a sword^H2719 upon all the inhabitants^H3427 of the earth,^H776 saith^H5002 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts.^H6635

But I wrought^H6213 for my name's^H8034 sake, that it should not be profaned^H2490 in the sight^H5869 of the nations,^H1471 in whose sight^H5869 I brought them out.^H3318

Therefore say^H559 unto the house^H1004 of Israel,^H3478 Thus saith^H559 the Lord^H136 Jehovah:^H136 I do^H6213 not [this] for your sake, O house^H1004 of Israel,^H3478 but for my holy^H6944 name,^H8034 which ye have profaned^H2490 among the nations,^H1471 whither ye went.^H935

O my God,^H430 incline^H5186 thine ear,^H241 and hear;^H8085 open^H6491 thine eyes,^H5869 and behold^H7200 our desolations,^H8074 and the city^H5892 which is called^H7121 by thy name:^H8034 for we do not present^H5307 our supplications^H8469 before^H6440 thee for our righteousness,^H6666 but for thy great^H7227 mercies'^H7356 sake.

I say^G3004 unto you,^G5213 Though^G1487 he^G2532 will^G1325 not^G3756 rise and^G450 give^G1325 him^G846 because^G1223 he is^G1511 his^G846 friend,^G5384 yet^G1065 because^G1223 of^G335 his^G846 importunity^G335 he will arise^G1453 and give^G1325 him^G846 as many as^G3745 he needeth.^G5535

to the end that^G3588 we^G2248 should be^G1511 unto^G1519 the praise^G1868 of his^G846 glory,^G1391 we who^G3588 had before hoped^G4276 in^G1722 Christ:^G5547
