And Jehovah^H3068 passed by^H5674 before him,^H6440 and proclaimed,^H7121 Jehovah,^H3068 Jehovah,^H3068 a God^H410 merciful^H7349 and gracious,^H2587 slow to anger,^H750 and abundant^H7227 in lovingkindness^H2617 and truth;^H571

Jehovah^H3068 is slow to anger,^H750 and abundant^H7227 in lovingkindness,^H2617 forgiving^H5375 iniquity^H5771 and transgression;^H6588 and that will by no means^H5352 clear^H5352 [the guilty], visiting^H6485 the iniquity^H5771 of the fathers^H1 upon the children,^H1121 upon the third^H8029 and upon the fourth^H7256 generation.

Know^H3045 therefore that Jehovah^H3068 thy God,^H430 he is God,^H430 the faithful^H539 God,^H430 who keepeth^H8104 covenant^H1285 and lovingkindness^H2617 with them that love^H157 him and keep^H8104 his commandments^H4687 to a thousand^H505 generations,^H1755

Thou shalt not be affrighted^H6206 at^H6440 them; for Jehovah^H3068 thy God^H430 is in the midst^H7130 of thee, a great^H1419 God^H410 and a terrible.^H3372

yet if they shall bethink^H7725 themselves in the land^H776 whither they are carried captive,^H7617 and turn^H7725 again, and make supplication^H2603 unto thee in the land^H776 of them that carried them captive,^H7617 saying,^H559 We have sinned,^H2398 and have done perversely,^H5753 we have dealt wickedly;^H7561

and said,^H559 I beseech^H577 thee, O Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of heaven,^H8064 the great^H1419 and terrible^H3372 God,^H410 that keepeth^H8104 covenant^H1285 and lovingkindness^H2617 with them that love^H157 him and keep^H8104 his commandments:^H4687

Now therefore, our God,^H430 the great,^H1419 the mighty,^H1368 and the terrible^H3372 God,^H410 who keepest^H8104 covenant^H1285 and lovingkindness,^H2617 let not all the travail^H8513 seem little^H4591 before^H6440 thee, that hath come^H4672 upon us, on our kings,^H4428 on our princes,^H8269 and on our priests,^H3548 and on our prophets,^H5030 and on our fathers,^H1 and on all thy people,^H5971 since the time^H3117 of the kings^H4428 of Assyria^H804 unto this day.^H3117

Only acknowledge^H3045 thine iniquity,^H5771 that thou hast transgressed^H6586 against Jehovah^H3068 thy God,^H430 and hast scattered^H6340 thy ways^H1870 to the strangers^H2114 under every green^H7488 tree,^H6086 and ye have not obeyed^H8085 my voice,^H6963 saith^H5002 Jehovah.^H3068

and they came in,^H935 and possessed^H3423 it, but they obeyed^H8085 not thy voice,^H6963 neither walked^H1980 in thy law;^H8451 they have done^H6213 nothing of all that thou commandedst^H6680 them to do:^H6213 therefore thou hast caused all this evil^H7451 to come^H7122 upon them.

Who is a God^H410 like unto thee, that pardoneth^H5375 iniquity,^H5771 and passeth over^H5674 the transgression^H6588 of the remnant^H7611 of his heritage?^H5159 he retaineth^H2388 not his anger^H639 for ever,^H5703 because he delighteth^H2654 in lovingkindness.^H2617

To show^G4160 mercy^G1656 towards,^G3326 our^G2257 fathers,^G3962 And^G2532 to remember^G3415 his^G846 holy^G40 covenant;^G1242

Blessed^G3107 is the man^G435 that^G3739 endureth^G5278 temptation;^G3986 for^G3754 when he hath been^G1096 approved,^G1384 he shall receive^G2983 the crown^G4735 of life,^G2222 which^G3739 [the Lord]^G2962 promised^G1861 to them^G3588 that love^G25 him.^G846

If^G1437 we say^G2036 that^G3754 we have^G2192 no^G3756 sin,^G266 we deceive^G4105 ourselves,^G1438 and^G2532 the truth^G225 is^G2076 not^G3756 in^G1722 us.^G2254
