Thus saith^H559 Jehovah,^H3068 In this thou shalt know^H3045 that I am Jehovah:^H3068 behold, I will smite^H5221 with the rod^H4294 that is in my hand^H3027 upon the waters^H4325 which are in the river,^H2975 and they shall be turned^H2015 to blood.^H1818

And it shall come to pass, when your children^H1121 shall say^H559 unto you, What mean ye by this service?^H5656

And it shall be, when thy son^H1121 asketh^H7592 thee in time to come,^H4279 saying,^H559 What is this? that thou shalt say^H559 unto him, By strength^H2392 of hand^H3027 Jehovah^H3068 brought us out^H3318 from Egypt,^H4714 from the house^H1004 of bondage:^H5650

And the Egyptians^H4714 shall know^H3045 that I am Jehovah,^H3068 when I have gotten me honor^H3513 upon Pharaoh,^H6547 upon his chariots,^H7393 and upon his horsemen.^H6571

When thy son^H1121 asketh^H7592 thee in time to come,^H4279 saying,^H559 What mean the testimonies,^H5713 and the statutes,^H2706 and the ordinances,^H4941 which Jehovah^H3068 our God^H430 hath commanded^H6680 you?

For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of the sons of Korah. Maschil. We have heard^H8085 with our ears,^H241 O God,^H430 Our fathers^H1 have told^H5608 us, What work^H6467 thou didst^H6466 in their days,^H3117 In the days^H3117 of old.^H6924

So that men^H120 shall say,^H559 Verily there is a reward^H6529 for the righteous:^H6662 Verily there is^H3426 a God^H430 that judgeth^H8199 in the earth.^H776

Which we have heard^H8085 and known,^H3045 And our fathers^H1 have told^H5608 us.

That the generation^H1755 to come^H314 might know^H3045 [them], even the children^H1121 that should be born;^H3205 Who should arise^H6965 and tell^H5608 [them] to their children,^H1121

and I polluted^H2930 them in their own gifts,^H4979 in that they caused to pass through^H5674 [the fire] all that openeth^H6363 the womb,^H7356 that I might make them desolate,^H8074 to the end that they might know^H3045 that I am Jehovah.^H3068

Tell^H5608 ye your children^H1121 of it, and [let] your children^H1121 [tell] their children,^H1121 and their children^H1121 another^H312 generation.^H1755
