And he removed^H6275 from thence unto the mountain^H2022 on the east^H6924 of Beth-el,^H1008 and pitched^H5186 his tent,^H168 having Beth-el^H1008 on the west,^H3220 and Ai^H5857 on the east:^H6924 and there he builded^H1129 an altar^H4196 unto Jehovah,^H3068 and called^H7121 upon the name^H8034 of Jehovah.^H3068

for all the land^H776 which thou seest,^H7200 to thee will I give it,^H5414 and to thy seed^H2233 for^H5704 ever.^H5769

And Abram^H87 moved his tent,^H167 and came^H935 and dwelt^H3427 by the oaks^H436 of Mamre,^H4471 which are in Hebron,^H2275 and built^H1129 there an altar^H4196 unto Jehovah.^H3068

And when Abram^H87 was ninety^H8673 years^H8141 old^H1121 and nine,^H8672 Jehovah^H3068 appeared^H7200 to Abram,^H87 and said^H559 unto him, I am God^H410 Almighty;^H7706 walk^H1980 before me,^H6440 and be thou perfect.^H8549

And I will give^H5414 unto thee, and to thy seed^H2233 after thee,^H310 the land^H776 of thy sojournings,^H4033 all the land^H776 of Canaan,^H3667 for an everlasting^H5769 possession;^H272 and I will be their God.^H430

And they came^H935 to the place^H4725 which God^H430 had told^H559 him of; and Abraham^H85 built^H1129 the altar^H4196 there, and laid^H6186 the wood^H6086 in order,^H6186 and bound^H6123 Isaac^H3327 his son,^H1121 and laid^H7760 him on the altar,^H4196 upon^H4605 the wood.^H6086

sojourn^H1481 in this land,^H776 and I will be with thee, and will bless^H1288 thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed,^H2233 I will give^H5414 all these^H411 lands,^H776 and I will establish^H6965 the oath^H7621 which I sware^H7650 unto Abraham^H85 thy father;^H1

and give^H5414 thee the blessing^H1293 of Abraham,^H85 to thee, and to thy seed^H2233 with thee; that thou mayest inherit^H3423 the land^H776 of thy sojournings,^H4033 which God^H430 gave^H5414 unto Abraham.^H85

And Jacob^H3290 called^H7121 the name^H8034 of the place^H4725 Peniel:^H6439 for, [said he], I have seen^H7200 God^H430 face^H6440 to face,^H6440 and my life^H5315 is preserved.^H5337

And he built^H1129 there an altar,^H4196 and called^H7121 the place^H4725 El-beth-el;^H416 because there God^H430 was revealed^H1540 unto him, when he fled^H1272 from the face^H6440 of his brother.^H251

And Joseph^H3130 said^H559 unto his brethren,^H251 I die;^H4191 but God^H430 will surely^H6485 visit^H6485 you, and bring you up out^H5927 of this land^H776 unto the land^H776 which he sware^H7650 to Abraham,^H85 to Isaac,^H3327 and to Jacob.^H3290

And I have also established^H6965 my covenant^H1285 with them, to give^H5414 them the land^H776 of Canaan,^H3667 the land^H776 of their sojournings,^H4033 wherein they sojourned.^H1481

And Moses^H4872 wrote^H3789 all the words^H1697 of Jehovah,^H3068 and rose up early^H7925 in the morning,^H1242 and builded^H1129 an altar^H4196 under the mount,^H2022 and twelve pillars,^H4676 according to the twelve^H8147 tribes^H7626 of Israel.^H3478

Unto these the land^H776 shall be divided^H2505 for an inheritance^H5159 according to the number^H4557 of names.^H8034

Behold,^H7200 I have set^H5414 the land^H776 before^H6440 you: go^H935 in and possess^H3423 the land^H776 which Jehovah^H3068 sware^H7650 unto your fathers,^H1 to Abraham,^H85 to Isaac,^H3327 and to Jacob,^H3290 to give^H5414 unto them and to their seed^H2233 after^H310 them.

to love^H157 Jehovah^H3068 thy God,^H430 to obey^H8085 his voice,^H6963 and to cleave^H1692 unto him; for he is thy life,^H2416 and the length^H753 of thy days;^H3117 that thou mayest dwell^H3427 in the land^H127 which Jehovah^H3068 sware^H7650 unto thy fathers,^H1 to Abraham,^H85 to Isaac,^H3327 and to Jacob,^H3290 to give^H5414 them.

Then Joshua^H3091 built^H1129 an altar^H4196 unto Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of Israel,^H3478 in mount^H2022 Ebal,^H5858

Then Gideon^H1439 built^H1129 an altar^H4196 there unto Jehovah,^H3068 and called^H7121 it Jehovah-shalom:^H3073 unto this day^H3117 it is yet in Ophrah^H6084 of the Abiezrites.^H33

And David^H1732 built^H1129 there an altar^H4196 unto Jehovah,^H3068 and offered^H5927 burnt-offerings^H5930 and peace-offerings.^H5930 So Jehovah^H3068 was entreated^H6279 for the land,^H776 and the plague^H4046 was stayed^H6113 from Israel.^H3478

[ The covenant] which he made^H3772 with Abraham,^H85 And his oath^H7621 unto Isaac,^H3327

Didst not thou, O our God,^H430 drive out^H3423 the inhabitants^H3427 of this land^H776 before^H6440 thy people^H5971 Israel,^H3478 and give^H5414 it to the seed^H2233 of Abraham^H85 thy friend^H157 for ever?^H5769

Then stood up^H6965 Jeshua^H3442 the son^H1121 of Jozadak,^H3136 and his brethren^H251 the priests,^H3548 and Zerubbabel^H2216 the son^H1121 of Shealtiel,^H7597 and his brethren,^H251 and builded^H1129 the altar^H4196 of the God^H430 of Israel,^H3478 to offer^H5927 burnt-offerings^H5930 thereon, as it is written^H3789 in the law^H8451 of Moses^H4872 the man^H376 of God.^H430

Saying,^H559 Unto thee will I give^H5414 the land^H776 of Canaan,^H3667 The lot^H2256 of your inheritance;^H5159

That^G5124 is,^G2076 it is not^G3756 the children^G5043 of the flesh^G4561 that^G5023 are children^G5043 of God;^G2316 but^G235 the children^G5043 of the promise^G1860 are reckoned^G3049 for^G1519 a seed.^G4690

Now^G1161 we,^G2249 brethren,^G80 as^G2596 Isaac was,^G2464 are^G2070 children^G5043 of promise.^G1860
