So the posts^H7323 passed^H5674 from city^H5892 to city^H5892 through the country^H776 of Ephraim^H669 and Manasseh,^H4519 even unto Zebulun:^H2074 but they laughed them to scorn,^H7832 and mocked^H3932 them.

Now when all this was finished,^H3615 all Israel^H3478 that were present^H4672 went out^H3318 to the cities^H5892 of Judah,^H3063 and brake^H7665 in pieces^H7665 the pillars,^H4676 and hewed down^H1438 the Asherim,^H842 and brake down^H5422 the high places^H1116 and the altars^H4196 out of all Judah^H3063 and Benjamin,^H1144 in Ephraim^H669 also and Manasseh,^H4519 until they had destroyed^H3615 them all. Then all the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 returned,^H7725 every man^H376 to his possession,^H272 into their own cities.^H5892

And it shall come to pass in that day,^H3117 that the remnant^H7605 of Israel,^H3478 and they that are escaped^H6413 of the house^H1004 of Jacob,^H3290 shall no more again^H3254 lean^H8172 upon him that smote^H5221 them, but shall lean^H8172 upon Jehovah,^H3068 the Holy One^H6918 of Israel,^H3478 in truth.^H571

ye made^H6213 also a reservoir^H4724 between the two walls^H2346 for the water^H4325 of the old^H3465 pool.^H1295 But ye looked^H5027 not unto him that had done^H6213 this, neither had ye respect^H7200 unto him that purposed^H3335 it long ago.^H7350

Go,^H1980 and proclaim^H7121 these words^H1697 toward the north,^H6828 and say,^H559 Return,^H7725 thou backsliding^H4878 Israel,^H3478 saith^H5002 Jehovah;^H3068 I will not look^H5307 in anger^H6440 upon you; for I am merciful,^H2623 saith^H5002 Jehovah,^H3068 I will not keep^H5201 [anger] for ever.^H5769

Again will I build^H1129 thee, and thou shalt be built,^H1129 O virgin^H1330 of Israel:^H3478 again shalt thou be adorned^H5710 with thy tabrets,^H8596 and shalt go forth^H3318 in the dances^H4234 of them that make merry.^H7832

Come,^H3212 and let us return^H7725 unto Jehovah;^H3068 for he hath torn,^H2963 and he will heal^H7495 us; he hath smitten,^H5221 and he will bind us up.^H2280

Thus saith^H559 Jehovah:^H3068 As the shepherd^H7462 rescueth out^H5337 of the mouth^H6310 of the lion^H738 two^H8147 legs,^H3767 or a piece^H915 of an ear,^H241 so shall the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 be rescued^H5337 that sit^H3427 in Samaria^H8111 in the corner^H6285 of a couch,^H4296 and on the silken cushions^H1833 of a bed.^H4296
