In the beginning^H7225 God^H430 created^H1254 the heavens^H8064 and^H853 the earth.^H776

And Shaphan^H8227 the scribe^H5608 told^H5046 the king,^H4428 saying,^H559 Hilkiah^H2518 the priest^H3548 hath delivered^H5414 me a book.^H5612 And Shaphan^H8227 read^H7121 it before^H6440 the king.^H4428

because thy heart^H3824 was tender,^H7401 and thou didst humble^H3665 thyself before^H6440 Jehovah,^H3068 when thou heardest^H8085 what I spake^H1696 against this place,^H4725 and against the inhabitants^H3427 thereof, that they should become a desolation^H8047 and a curse,^H7045 and hast rent^H7167 thy clothes,^H899 and wept^H1058 before^H6440 me; I also have heard^H8085 thee, saith^H5002 Jehovah.^H3068

Then were assembled^H622 unto me every one that trembled^H2730 at the words^H1697 of the God^H430 of Israel,^H3478 because of the trespass^H4604 of them of the captivity;^H1473 and I sat^H3427 confounded^H8074 until the evening^H6153 oblation.^H4503

Jehovah^H3068 is nigh^H7138 unto them that are of a broken^H7665 heart,^H3820 And saveth^H3467 such as are of a contrite^H1793 spirit.^H7307

Then will thou delight^H2654 in the sacrifices^H2077 of righteousness,^H6664 In burnt-offering^H5930 and in whole^H3632 burnt-offering:^H5930 Then will they offer^H5927 bullocks^H6499 upon thine altar.^H4196

SHIN. Princes^H8269 have persecuted^H7291 me without a cause;^H2600 But my heart^H3820 standeth in awe^H6342 of thy words.^H1697

Happy^H835 is the man^H120 that feareth^H6342 alway;^H8548 But he that hardeneth^H7185 his heart^H3820 shall fall^H5307 into mischief.^H7451

that they may see,^H7200 and know,^H3045 and consider,^H7760 and understand^H7919 together,^H3162 that the hand^H3027 of Jehovah^H3068 hath done^H6213 this, and the Holy One^H6918 of Israel^H3478 hath created^H1254 it.

The Spirit^H7307 of the Lord^H136 Jehovah^H3068 is upon me; because Jehovah^H3068 hath anointed^H4886 me to preach good tidings^H1319 unto the meek;^H6035 he hath sent^H7971 me to bind up^H2280 the broken-hearted,^H7665 to proclaim^H7121 liberty^H1865 to the captives,^H7617 and the opening [of the prison]^H6495 to them that are bound;^H631

Surely after^H310 that I was turned,^H7725 I repented;^H5162 and after^H310 that I was instructed,^H3045 I smote^H5606 upon my thigh:^H3409 I was ashamed,^H954 yea, even confounded,^H3637 because I did bear^H5375 the reproach^H2781 of my youth.^H5271

I heard,^H8085 and my body^H990 trembled,^H7264 My lips^H8193 quivered^H6750 at the voice;^H6963 Rottenness^H7538 entereth^H935 into my bones,^H6106 and I tremble^H7264 in my place; Because I must wait quietly^H5117 for the day^H3117 of trouble,^H6869 For the coming up^H5927 of the people^H5971 that invadeth^H1464 us.
