Now the serpent^H5175 was^H1961 more subtle^H6175 than any beast^H2416 of the field^H7704 which Jehovah^H3068 God^H430 had made.^H6213 And he said^H559 unto the woman,^H802 Yea,^H637 hath God^H430 said,^H559 Ye shall not eat^H398 of any tree^H6086 of the garden?^H1588

And one told^H5046 David,^H1732 saying,^H559 Ahithophel^H302 is among the conspirators^H7194 with Absalom.^H53 And David^H1732 said,^H559 O Jehovah,^H3068 I pray thee, turn the counsel^H6098 of Ahithophel^H302 into foolishness.^H5528

For my people^H5971 are foolish,^H191 they know^H3045 me not; they are sottish^H5530 children,^H1121 and they have no understanding;^H995 they are wise^H2450 to do evil,^H7489 but to do good^H3190 they have no knowledge.^H3045

For^G1063 God^G2316 sent^G649 not^G3756 the^G846 Son^G5207 into^G1519 the world^G2889 to^G2443 judge^G2919 the world;^G2889 but^G235 that^G2443 the world^G2889 should be saved^G4982 through^G1223 him.^G846

and said,^G2036 O^G5599 full^G4134 of all^G3956 guile^G1388 and^G2532 all^G3956 villany,^G4468 thou son^G5207 of the devil,^G1228 thou enemy^G2190 of all^G3956 righteousness,^G1343 wilt thou^G3973 not^G3756 cease^G3973 to pervert^G1294 the right^G2117 ways^G3598 of the Lord?^G2962

For^G1063 it is written,^G1125 I will destroy^G622 the wisdom^G4678 of the wise,^G4680 And^G2532 the discernment^G4907 of the discerning^G4908 will I bring to nought.^G114

We speak^G2980 wisdom,^G4678 however,^G1161 among^G1722 them^G3588 that are fullgrown:^G5046 yet^G1161 a wisdom^G4678 not^G3756 of this^G5127 world,^G165 nor^G3761 of the rulers^G758 of this^G5127 world,^G165 who^G3588 are coming to nought:^G2673

for^G1063 ye are^G2075 yet^G2089 carnal:^G4559 for^G1063 whereas^G3699 there is among^G1722 you^G5213 jealousy^G2205 and^G2532 strife,^G2054 are ye^G2075 not^G3780 carnal,^G4559 and^G2532 do ye not walk^G4043 after the manner^G2596 of men?^G444

For^G1063 our^G2257 glorifying^G2746 is^G2076 this,^G3778 the testimony^G3142 of our^G2257 conscience,^G4893 that^G3754 in^G1722 holiness^G572 and^G2532 sincerity^G1505 of God,^G2316 not^G3756 in^G1722 fleshly^G4559 wisdom^G4678 but^G235 in^G1722 the grace^G5485 of God,^G2316 we behaved^G390 ourselves in^G1722 the world,^G2889 and^G1161 more abundantly^G4056 to^G4314 you-ward.^G5209

For^G1063 such^G5108 men are false apostles,^G5570 deceitful^G1386 workers,^G2040 fashioning^G3345 themselves into^G1519 apostles^G652 of Christ.^G5547

[None even he], whose^G3739 coming^G3952 is^G2076 according^G2596 to the working^G1753 of Satan^G4567 with^G1722 all^G3956 power^G1411 and^G2532 signs^G4592 and^G2532 lying^G5579 wonders,^G5059

But if^G1487 any^G5100 of you^G5216 lacketh^G3007 wisdom,^G4678 let him ask^G154 of^G3844 God,^G2316 who giveth^G1325 to all^G3956 liberally^G574 and^G2532 upbraideth^G3679 not;^G3361 and^G2532 it shall be given^G1325 him.^G846

But^G1161 the wisdom^G4678 that is^G2076 from above^G509 is first^{G4412 G3303} pure,^G53 then^G1899 peaceable,^G1516 gentle,^G1933 easy to be entreated,^G2138 full^G3324 of mercy^G1656 and^G2532 good^G18 fruits,^G2590 without variance,^{G87 G2532} without hypocrisy.^G505

These^G3778 are^G1526 they who^G1438 make separations,^G592 sensual,^G5591 having^G2192 not^G3361 the Spirit.^G4151

^G2532 They have^G2192 over^G1909 them^G846 as king^G935 the angel^G32 of the abyss:^G12 his name^G3686 in Hebrew^G1447 is Abaddon,^G3 and^G2532 in^G1722 the Greek [tongue]^G1673 he^G846 hath^G2192 the name^G3686 Apollyon.^G623
