And the people^H5971 came^H935 to Moses,^H4872 and said,^H559 We have sinned,^H2398 because we have spoken^H1696 against Jehovah,^H3068 and against thee; pray^H6419 unto Jehovah,^H3068 that he take away^H5493 the serpents^H5175 from us. And Moses^H4872 prayed^H6419 for the people.^H5971

He removed^H5493 the high places,^H1116 and brake^H7665 the pillars,^H4676 and cut down^H3772 the Asherah:^H842 and he brake in pieces^H3807 the brazen^H5178 serpent^H5175 that Moses^H4872 had made;^H6213 for unto those days^H3117 the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 did burn incense^H6999 to it; and he called^H7121 it Nehushtan.^H5180

How^G4459 then^G3767 should^G4137 the scriptures^G1124 be fulfilled^G4137 that^G3754 thus^G3779 it must^G1163 be?^G1096

and^G5037 how^G3704 the chief priests^G749 and^G2532 our^G2257 rulers^G758 delivered^G3860 him^G846 up to^G1519 be condemned^G2917 to death,^G2288 and^G2532 crucified^G4717 him.^G846
