Or hath God^H430 assayed^H5254 to go^H935 and take^H3947 him a nation^H1471 from the midst^H7130 of [another] nation,^H1471 by trials,^H4531 by signs,^H226 and by wonders,^H4159 and by war,^H4421 and by a mighty^H2389 hand,^H3027 and by an outstretched^H5186 arm,^H2220 and by great^H1419 terrors,^H4172 according to all that Jehovah^H3068 your God^H430 did^H6213 for you in Egypt^H4714 before your eyes?^H5869

Oh that^H5414 I were as in the months^H3391 of old,^H6924 As in the days^H3117 when God^H433 watched^H8104 over me;

I remember^H2142 God,^H430 and am disquieted:^H1993 I complain,^H7878 and my spirit^H7307 is overwhelmed.^{H5848 H5542}

We are become a reproach^H2781 to our neighbors,^H7934 A scoffing^H3933 and derision^H7047 to them that are round about^H5439 us.

He showeth^H5046 his word^H1697 unto Jacob,^H3290 His statutes^H2706 and his ordinances^H4941 unto Israel.^H3478

Thy holy^H6944 cities^H5892 are become a wilderness,^H4057 Zion^H6726 is become a wilderness,^H4057 Jerusalem^H3389 a desolation.^H8077

All that pass^H5674 by clap^H5606 their hands^H3709 at thee;^H1870 They hiss^H8319 and wag^H5128 their head^H7218 at the daughter^H1323 of Jerusalem,^H3389 [saying], Is this the city^H5892 that men called^H559 The perfection^H3632 of beauty,^H3308 The joy^H4885 of the whole earth?^H776

and say^H559 unto the children of Ammon,^H1121 Hear^H8085 the word^H1697 of the Lord^H136 Jehovah:^H136 Thus saith^H559 the Lord^H136 Jehovah,^H136 Because thou saidst,^H559 Aha,^H1889 against my sanctuary,^H4720 when it was profaned;^H2490 and against the land^H127 of Israel,^H3478 when it was made desolate;^H8074 and against the house^H1004 of Judah,^H3063 when they went^H1980 into captivity:^H1473
