They have set^H7971 thy sanctuary^H4720 on fire;^H784 They have profaned^H2490 the dwelling-place^H4908 of thy name^H8034 [by casting it] to the ground.^H776

Thou hast broken down^H6555 all his hedges;^H1448 Thou hast brought^H7760 his strongholds^H4013 to ruin.^H4288

Bring^H935 no more^H3254 vain^H7723 oblations;^H4503 incense^H7004 is an abomination^H8441 unto me; new moon^H2320 and sabbath,^H7676 the calling^H7121 of assemblies,—^H4744 I cannot away with^H3201 iniquity^H205 and the solemn meeting.^H6116

and I will lay^H7896 it waste;^H1326 it shall not be pruned^H2168 nor hoed;^H5737 but there shall come up^H5927 briers^H8068 and thorns:^H7898 I will also command^H6680 the clouds^H5645 that they rain^H4305 no rain^H4306 upon it.

Thy holy^H6944 people^H5971 possessed^H3423 [it] but a little while:^H4705 our adversaries^H6862 have trodden down^H947 thy sanctuary.^H4720

For thus saith^H559 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts,^H6635 the God^H430 of Israel:^H3478 As mine anger^H639 and my wrath^H2534 hath been poured forth^H5413 upon the inhabitants^H3427 of Jerusalem,^H3389 so shall my wrath^H2534 be poured forth^H5413 upon you, when ye shall enter^H935 into Egypt;^H4714 and ye shall be an execration,^H423 and an astonishment,^H8047 and a curse,^H7045 and a reproach;^H2781 and ye shall see^H7200 this place^H4725 no more.

And he put out^H5786 the eyes^H5869 of Zedekiah;^H6667 and the king^H4428 of Babylon^H894 bound^H631 him in fetters,^H5178 and carried^H935 him to Babylon,^H894 and put^H5414 him in prison^H1004 till the day^H3117 of his death.^H4194

The ways^H1870 of Zion^H6726 do mourn,^H57 because none come^H935 to the solemn assembly;^H4150 All her gates^H8179 are desolate,^H8074 her priests^H3548 do sigh:^H584 Her virgins^H1330 are afflicted,^H3013 and she herself is in bitterness.^H4843

The breath^H7307 of our nostrils,^H639 the anointed^H4899 of Jehovah,^H3068 was taken^H3920 in their pits;^H7825 Of whom we said,^H559 Under his shadow^H6738 we shall live^H2421 among the nations.^H1471

And the prince^H5387 that is among^H8432 them shall bear^H5375 upon his shoulder^H3802 in the dark,^H5939 and shall go forth:^H3318 they shall dig^H2864 through the wall^H7023 to carry out^H3318 thereby: he shall cover^H3680 his face,^H6440 because^H3282 he shall not see^H7200 the land^H776 with his eyes.^H5869

I will gather^H622 them that sorrow^H3013 for the solemn assembly,^H4150 who were of thee; [to whom] the burden^H4864 upon her was a reproach.^H2781
