And in^G1722 those^G1565 days^G2250 cometh^G3854 John^G2491 the Baptist,^G910 preaching^G2784 in^G1722 the wilderness^G2048 of Judaea,^G2449 saying,

but^G1161 I say^G3004 into you,^G5213 that^G3754 Elijah^G2243 is come^G2064 already,^G2235 and^G2532 they knew^G1921 him^G846 not,^G3756 but^G235 did unto^G1722 him^G846 whatsoever^G3745 they would.^G2309 Even^G3779 so^G2532 shall^G3195 the Son^G5207 of man^G444 also^G2532 suffer^G3958 of^G5259 them.^G846

And^G2532 they come^G2064 again^G3825 to^G1519 Jerusalem:^G2414 and^G2532 as he^G846 was walking^G4043 in^G1722 the temple,^G2411 there come^G2064 to^G4314 him^G846 the chief priests,^G749 and^G2532 the scribes,^G1122 and^G2532 the elders;^G4245

And^G2532 his^G846 father^G3962 Zacharias^G2197 was filled^G4130 with the^G4151 Holy^G40 Spirit,^G4151 and^G2532 prophesied,^G4395 saying,^G3004

^G1063 I say^G3004 unto you,^G5213 Among^G1722 them that are born^G1084 of women^G1135 there is^G2076 none^G3762 greater^{G3187 G4396} than^G3187 John:^{G2491 G910} yet^G1161 he that is but little^G3398 in^G1722 the kingdom^G932 of God^G2316 is^G2076 greater than^G3187 he.^G846

And^G1161 they reasoned^G4817 with^G4314 themselves,^G1438 saying,^G3754 If^G1437 we shall say,^G2036 From^G1537 heaven;^G3772 he will say,^G1223 Why^G5101 did^G3767 ye^G4100 not^G3756 believe him?^G846

John^G2491 beareth witness^G3140 of^G4012 him,^G846 and^G2532 crieth,^G2896 saying,^G3004 This^G3778 was^G2258 he of whom^G3739 I said,^G2036 He that^G3588 cometh^G2064 after^G3694 me^G3450 is become^G1096 before^G1715 me:^G3450 for^G3754 he was^G2258 before^G4413 me.^G3450

He that believeth^G4100 on^G1519 him^G846 is^G2919 not^G3756 judged:^G2919 he^G1161 that believeth^G4100 not^G3361 hath been judged^G2919 already,^G2235 because^G3754 he hath^G4100 not^G3361 believed^G4100 on^G1519 the name^G3686 of the only begotten^G3439 Son^G5207 of God.^G2316

Ye^G5210 have sent^G649 unto^G4314 John,^G2491 and^G2532 he hath borne witness^G3140 unto the truth.^G225

Jesus^G2424 answered^G611 them,^G846 I told^G2036 you,^G5213 and^G2532 ye believe^G4100 not:^G3756 the works^G2041 that^G3739 I^G1473 do^G4160 in^G1722 my^G3450 Father's^G3962 name,^G3686 these^G5023 bear witness^G3140 of^G4012 me.^G1700

because^G3754 if^G1437 our^G2257 heart^{G2588 G3754} condemn us,^G2607 God^G2316 is^G2076 greater than^G3187 our^G2257 heart,^G2588 and^G2532 knoweth^G1097 all things.^G3956
