Wherefore the people^H5971 strove^H7378 with Moses,^H4872 and said,^H559 Give^H5414 us water^H4325 that we may drink.^H8354 And Moses^H4872 said^H559 unto them, Why strive^H7378 ye with me? Wherefore do ye tempt^H5254 Jehovah?^H3068

because all those men^H582 that have seen^H7200 my glory,^H3519 and my signs,^H226 which I wrought^H6213 in Egypt^H4714 and in the wilderness,^H4057 yet have tempted^H5254 me these ten^H6235 times,^H6471 and have not hearkened^H8085 to my voice;^H6963

And they tempted^H5254 God^H410 in their heart^H3824 By asking^H7592 food^H400 according to their desire.^H5315

Yet they tempted^H5254 and rebelled^H4784 against the Most High^H5945 God,^H430 And kept^H8104 not his testimonies;^H5713

But lusted^H183 exceedingly^H8378 in the wilderness,^H4057 And tempted^H5254 God^H410 in the desert.^H3452

And now we call^H833 the proud^H2086 happy;^H833 yea, they that work^H6213 wickedness^H7564 are built up;^H1129 yea, they tempt^H974 God,^H430 and escape.^H4422
