For, behold, the Lord,^H113 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts,^H6635 doth take away^H5493 from Jerusalem^H3389 and from Judah^H3063 stay^H4937 and staff,^H4938 the whole stay^H4937 of bread,^H3899 and the whole^H3605 stay^H4937 of water;^H4325

Therefore are my loins^H4975 filled^H4390 with anguish;^H2479 pangs^H6735 have taken hold^H270 upon me, as the pangs^H6735 of a woman in travail:^H3205 I am pained^H5753 so that I cannot hear;^H8085 I am dismayed^H926 so that I cannot see.^H7200

How long shall I see^H7200 the standard,^H5251 and hear^H8085 the sound^H6963 of the trumpet?^H7782

Behold, the voice^H6963 of the cry^H7775 of the daughter^H1323 of my people^H5971 from a land^H776 that is very far^H4801 off: Is not Jehovah^H3068 in Zion?^H6726 is not her King^H4428 in her? Why have they provoked me to anger^H3707 with their graven images,^H6456 and with foreign^H5236 vanities?^H1892

Ask^H7592 ye now, and see^H7200 whether a man^H2145 doth travail with child:^H3205 wherefore do I see^H7200 every man^H1397 with his hands^H3027 on his loins,^H2504 as a woman in travail,^H3205 and all faces^H6440 are turned^H2015 into paleness?^H3420

Therefore fear^H3372 thou not, O Jacob^H3290 my servant,^H5650 saith^H5002 Jehovah;^H3068 neither be dismayed,^H2865 O Israel:^H3478 for, lo, I will save^H3467 thee from afar,^H7350 and thy seed^H2233 from the land^H776 of their captivity;^H7628 and Jacob^H3290 shall return,^H7725 and shall be quiet^H8252 and at ease,^H7599 and none shall make him afraid.^H2729

The breath^H7307 of our nostrils,^H639 the anointed^H4899 of Jehovah,^H3068 was taken^H3920 in their pits;^H7825 Of whom we said,^H559 Under his shadow^H6738 we shall live^H2421 among the nations.^H1471

Surely now shall they say,^H559 We have no king;^H4428 for we fear^H3372 not Jehovah;^H3068 and the king,^H4428 what can he do^H6213 for us?
