But Daniel purposed in his heart that he woulde not defile hym selfe with the portion of the kinges meate, nor with the wyne which he dranke: therefore he required the chiefe chamberlayne that he might not defile him selfe.
And they continued stedfastly in the Apostles doctrine and felowship, and in breakyng of bread, and in prayers.
Which when they were come to hym, he saide vnto them: Ye knowe from the first daye that I came into Asia, after what maner I haue ben with you at all seasons.
Nowe I beseche you brethren, marke them whiche cause deuision, & geue occasions of euyll, contrarie to the doctrine whiche ye haue learned, and auoyde them.
But in all thynges let vs behaue our selues as ye ministers of God, in much pacience, in afflictions, in necessities, in anguisshes,
Ye knowe the profe of hym, that as a sonne with the father, he hath serued with me in the Gospell.
As I besought thee to abyde styll in Ephesus, when I departed into Macedonia so do that thou comaunde some that they teache no other doctrine:
Let no man despise thy youth: but be thou a paterne of the beleuers, in worde, in conuersation, in loue, in spirite, in fayth, in chastitie.
Lustes of youth auoyde, but folowe ryghteousnesse, fayth, loue, peace, with them that call on the Lorde out of a pure heart.
For the tyme wyll come, when they shall not suffer wholsome doctrine: but after their owne lustes, shal they whose eares itche, get the an heape of teachers:
Be not caryed about with diuers & strange doctrines: For it is a good thing that the heart be stablisshed with grace, & not with meates, which haue not profited the that haue ben occupied therin.
Seyng then that all these thynges shall perisshe, what maner persons ought ye to be in holy conuersation and godlynesse:
