And to hym agreed the other: And when they had called the Apostles, they beat them, and commaunded that they shoulde not speake in the name of Iesu, and let them go.

And I sayde: Lord, they knowe that I prisoned and beat in euery synagogue them that beleued on thee.

This man was taken of the Iewes, and shoulde haue ben kylled of them: Then came I with souldeirs, & rescued hym, and perceaued that he was a Romane.
